The issue in GetHuman-bobnuts's own words
I have*had (*) accounts with Direct TV, * in Georgia and * at my permanent residency in Florida. I was recently hospitalized in Georgia and upon my release had to move in with family. The decision was made to sell my Georgia home and at that time I contacted Direct TV to cancel my Georgia account * ********. When I made this phone call I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this accomplished. I could not make the representative understand that I could not move my service to my new address because Direct TV did not service that area. After speaking to many different people the final outcome was that I would not be charged an early cancellation fee because my service could not be moved and I still have an active account at my Florida residence. I have received bills stating that I owe a $***.** early cancellation fee. This email is to dispute that charge. I was told I would NOT have to pay this. Please send me an updated bill and I will pay the correct balance immediately. Also, I have never received the box I was suppose to be sent to return the equipment.

GetHuman-bobnuts did not yet indicate what DirecTV should do to make this right.
