This past September I moved to Estero Florida From New Jersey. I was concerned about joining a gym with classes that we comparable to the classes I've been taking. A Lot of people I spoke with this about my concern and also concern of the costs, recommended Crunch. I moved and with that my apt has a gym for renters so I was really only interested in classes alone. I was starting a new job the next week ans did not know mu hours yet and made sure i expressed that to them over the phone. They told me to come down and they will Help me and sign me up. I went to the Bonita springs location which was ** mins away. There I met with Peter Convard MG at the front desk. I explained my situation * that I have a gym,starting new job as a hairstylist which means building up my clientele so on a strict budget ,work late hours. he made it seem that signing up was very flexible to change plans, also that the new October class schedule was not out yet ans that there will be a lot more classes for me to take . Peter than told me he can sign me up right there no problem, since my phone completely broke on the way there and could not get internet service. so he went on his compute facing him and began to take my information. He gave me an over view of what the screen was saying and then would tell me when to sign. Biggest mistake and I blame myself for believing there are honest people out there.Peter never told me there was a yearly contract, only emphasized that all I owe was the monthly fee that I owed that day. He told me when to sign signature pad after he read the on line "contract" to me, me not realizing must of "missed" the year contract and the fee. I signed paid left and was happy. come October and the new schedule is out an there are no boot camp class times I can take. Again I go to front desk and speak with Peter, he than says,"that is fine we can change your membership* so now only $** a month with access to classes and gym. Told me when to sign once again and I did. So now i look and the only class I can take that fits my schedule is Sundays, but explains that I can go to any location so I can take classes anywhere. well all teh locations are either ** mins away again from all of my starting point areas. so once again I go to front desk and this time Peter is not there but a very nice informative employee helps me out because now i just want to cancel all together. The employee tells me that he can lower my membership to $** a month instead , I said no because I already did that, he then tells me know its was just another document signed saying I joined. He contacts Peter ans he comes over with an attitude and not admitting his mistake,then the emplyee says oh well you can cancel you signed a years agreement. I told him no I signed with no contract that was told to me at that time and i only paid the membership monthly fee. The employee now tells me oh we dont charge for first couple months because we don't like to charge people with so much all at once and that,that fee was being charged soon. I walked out because i really was aggravated and did not want to take out my frustration on his bosses "miscommunication" with me. I went home and called ans spoke to a female manager and explained all of this. She was rude, short and nasty with me and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to another manager who then Peter was put on the phone with me. I explained her disposition with me and did not think it was professional to hang up on clients. peters response is she said you were yelling at her and that is not professional. First off I was not yelling and to hang up ans say that I was Yelling, because she has a lack of knowledge to respond to my questions. as we all know working in the professional field the client is always right even if their wrong. Also dont find it professional that Peter cant seem to understand how out of my day I cant find the time to work out. I explained that no classes at either locations are and times are convenient with my schedule and that even he travels an hour back and forth to wok and finds time to work out. well he does work at a gym and also he has no idea what else and who else is involved in my schedule, nor is it his business to comment. Also it amazes me how Peter has completely forgotten how he signed me up on the computer not me, where I would of read the small print with fees and regulations, and how he somehow forgot to read them to me, but instead made the experience seem as he was helping me out. I am honestly disgusted with the entire situation because the way he is handling Crunch membership enrollment is a pile of lies ans fraud! sad thing is when i was going to move and purchase a home and there were class scheduled in alignment with my life schedule I would of re joined. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service and communication is really unfortunate not only to Crunch reputation but also for the people who do work really hard and are professional there. I would like a complete refund for my application and the month that i was charged after I tried to cancel. I do not mind the payments charged for the month that I did try and work out, but only happened to be * times. *Thank you for your time and look forward hearing back from you.*Best regards,*Andrea Salvatore
