I have been a good customer for several years. I always pay my bill. I have a terminal illness and in out of the hospital frequently. I was recently in the hospital for an extended stay and missed a couple of payments. Instead of calling to see what the problem was you decided to send me a threatening message telling me you were about to cut off my service. I have talked to * or * people there and explained my situation. I told them that my phone is a lifeline for me and I cannot lose my service. The reason I got a cell phone was because if the electricity went off during a storm my landline phone would go out too. I have requested several times that, if there was a problem, to please CALL me and let me know and give me the chance to fix it. Each time I was told they would flag my account that I absolutely cannot be without phone service and to CALL me as a courtesy. I just today had the chance to check my messages and your threats was the first I knew there was a problem. I immediately made a payment. Do you people have no compassion for your customers? Do you always tell your customers who takes the time to explain, more than once, about their difficult situations that you will work with them and then threaten them instead? I know if I take my business elsewhere you won’t miss it but I need to find someone who will keep their word and have compassion for someone who is dealing with something really awful and understand I am under enough stress without being threatened with losing my lifeline. I need to find someone who will do what they say they will do. I am in excruciating pain all the time and have to take really strong pain meds and sometimes things get by me. I recently planned my funeral and had to try and explain to my grandchildren that their Nana is dying and have been saying goodbye to my friends and family. Excuse me for missing a couple of payments. I truly hope none of you have to live my nightmare or, if you do, you will be shown the compassion and understanding that you haven’t shown me.
