Hi! I just moved to Essex CT. * years ago I lost my New York license after my wallet was stolen. Between getting married and moving * times since I am am now looking to get a new one since essex is my perminant location. I just realized however, that the NY license I lost * years ago expired in Oct ****. **I made an appointment for CT DMV to get a new one for new residents and I have all the paper work. Proof of me, marriage certifcate, address proof and I even have a picture of the NY license that is expired, plus my NY driving abstract. Will they grant me a new CT one with all the proper paper work or do I need to take the driving test again? Any info you can get would be REALLY appreciated. It's a unique situation.
