I am in the equipment salvage business. I came across a wifi modem the exact model I was provided by COMAST. To test the modem I removed my COMCAST provided modem and connected the modem I obtained via a salvage operation. The salvage modem powered up, but when I turned on my computer I received an on-screen message when I turned on my browser telling me my service had been suspended due to not paying a COMCAST bill, and to call *-***-xfinity to have my service restored. I am now back using my original COMCAST provided modem and all is back to normal. Is there some way I can provide you with the numbers off this model TG****G modem and have you check if it is associated with a COMCAST account that has a un-paid bill associated with it?
GetHuman-tonyfar did not yet indicate what Comcast should do to make this right.
