My name is Alison Buchanan. I am very concerned that I have had no acknowledgement of receipt of my application to replace my Canadian Citizenship certificate. I no longer use my former married surname, Macmillan, and wish to change it to my maiden name Buchanan. (My most recent passport carried the name Alison Buchanan.) From the United States on ** March ****, I sent by regular mail my original plastic Citizenship Card along with all documentation, photograph, receipt of payment to the given address in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It is important that my Citizenship name be updated because I lost both my Canadian Passport and my U.S. Permanent Resident Green Card, and I need proof of citizenship in order to replace my Canadian Passport. How can I know that my application was received at the Case Processing Center? The Official Receipt for my $** payment is No. R*********. I now reside in the United States. I am in possession of a Temporary I-*** Card.
