I recently purchased a [redacted] Nissan Leaf from a dealership in Riverside. When I received the car, it was not yet ready, and the navigation system, radio, and CD player were missing. After waiting for 3 hours the next day, I was informed that the paperwork hadn't been done. We started the paperwork an hour later, and upon receiving the keys, I discovered the missing chip preventing the features from working. I was reassured they would order it, but now they claim it was sold "as is" even though the ad and their promises said otherwise. The salesperson, David, initially mentioned they ordered the part, but now they deny it and insist I take the car as is. They have misled me, and I am left without the features I was promised.

I was in a car accident on February 6, [redacted], and recently took my [redacted] Ford F350 Super Duty truck in for an oil change and trade-in quote in Whitman, Arizona. The mechanic claimed there was severe front end damage from the February accident, but I had only replaced the front bumper shortly after purchasing the truck in October [redacted]. The rear of the truck had minor damage from being rear-ended. I already explained all of this in a letter and fax I sent two weeks ago to the repair shop, but I haven't received a response. I can be contacted at [redacted]. Thank you.

I am concerned that my [redacted] GMC Sierra, with the VIN #3GTU2NEC4GG213311, is wrongly marked as a total loss on the Carfax report. The vehicle has been repaired and is not a total loss. I have attached the repair estimate from Fender Mender, who performed the repairs. I have previously submitted this information through the dispute form last week. This incorrect listing is adversely affecting the truck's value, making it challenging to trade-in at dealerships. If this issue is not promptly rectified, I may have to pursue legal action against CarFax to address this matter and seek reimbursement for any legal expenses. It is in everyone's best interest to promptly correct and update the report to reflect the accurate status of my vehicle.

Since May 8, [redacted], I have been trying to get a full refund for the Lemon car I purchased from Glorious Motorsports. Despite our state laws in North Carolina providing consumer protection, the company has not cooperated. I am aware of the 30-day window to return unsatisfactory vehicles, and I have been attempting to do so since May 8, [redacted], just two days after purchasing the car. The car has been nothing but trouble since I brought it home on May 6, [redacted]. I have already spent $[redacted].00 at my local Davenport Honda Dealership and $[redacted] at A&H Tire and Auto to address issues like the mismatched motor mileage, failing transmission disguised as a steering wheel pump problem, and discrepancies in the Carfax report indicating it's a flood-damaged car with a history of accidents in Florida.

Regarding case number [redacted]9, I mistakenly bought 6 Carfax reports instead of 1 on June 4, [redacted] using Amazon Pay. I reached out online right after the purchase and was assured assistance was coming, but I have not been contacted yet. I only needed 1 report and would like a refund for the excess. Kindly confirm the credit within 24 hours. If not, I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. -KG

I am contacting you regarding Case # [redacted]8. It has been 14 days since my initial request for assistance with this issue. The vehicle in question, which was purchased from a Copart auction and reported stolen by State Farm but later recovered without any damage, is currently marked as a total loss and red flagged on Carfax. I am attempting to buy the vehicle through Navy Federal Credit Union, but they are unable to proceed due to the red flag on the Carfax report. The red flag status is inaccurate as there has been no damage, fire, flood, or accidents involved with the vehicle. I kindly ask for your help in resolving this matter so that the red flag can be removed to reflect the true condition of the vehicle. Thank you.

I am a 65-year-old female who spent months searching for a used car. Relying heavily on Car Fax reports, I wanted a one-owner vehicle with no accidents - considering I have previously owned 6 Nissans. Ultimately, I found a [redacted] Nissan Pathfinder with [redacted],[redacted] miles that met my criteria, despite a tear in the seat. I thoroughly checked the Car Fax report both online and at Ross Downing dealership in Gonzales, Louisiana, before purchasing the vehicle for cash. At the time of buying the car in Louisiana, I didn't have enough funds for taxes, title, and license fees, so I deferred payment for 60 days. However, two weeks post-purchase, I received the paperwork which revealed there were two owners of the vehicle, raising concerns about undisclosed motor problems from the second owner, turning my purchase into a lemon. - M. In February [redacted], my wife was backing out of a parking spot in Folsom, CA. While doing so, a parked car to her left opened its right side passenger door, making slight contact with our vehicle near the rearview mirror. There was no visible damage to either vehicle. The local police initially contacted us about a "hit and run" involving our vehicle, but after explaining the situation, they understood it was not a collision and dropped the investigation. We are currently in the process of trading in our car for an SUV. However, during trade-in assessments, we were surprised to discover that Carfax has classified this minor incident as an "accident," impacting the trade-in value. We kindly request the immediate removal of this incident from the Carfax report for our [redacted] Mercedes C300, VIN 55swf4jb5gu118720. Thank you.

I bought a vehicle from Northridge Toyota in November [redacted] and noticed a strange sound during the test drive. Despite being assured by the salesman, the noise persisted after the purchase. Northridge Toyota initially couldn't hear the sound but later found issues with the brakes on the right side. Even after repairs, the noise continued from the right side and the rear. I expressed my concerns, but they only replaced a part on the left side overlooking the back and right side. Despite multiple visits and assurances that no sound was found, the issue remains unresolved. I felt unsafe driving the vehicle. I urged Northridge Toyota to repurchase the car, but they have not resolved the situation. Car Fax indicated the vehicle was safe to drive, but it clearly has issues. I seek a resolution and reimbursement for my time and payments. Please email me at [redacted] or call me at +[redacted]1 to address this matter. Thank you.

I recently obtained a Carfax report on 8-3-20 for my [redacted] Jeep Wrangler with VIN 1J4FA29P81P374331. According to the report, Owner 4 had the vehicle towed on 5/20/15 in KS. Owner 5 then had it on 6/18/15 in Missouri where it received a salvage tag. Owner 6 took possession on the same day and tagged it in Kansas. I am now Owner 8 with a clean title from KS. Owner 7 previously had a lien which was paid off before selling it to me on 4/20/19. I am uncertain about the salvage tag issue as the vehicle doesn't seem totaled or wrecked on inspection by an auto body expert I consulted. I believe there might be a clerical error and wonder if KS should have inspected the vehicle when it was tagged from Missouri back to KS. This situation has impacted the value of the Jeep negatively after my purchase with cash. - Robert V.

My car was reported as a total loss on 4/07/[redacted]. According to my insurance company, they never reported it as a total loss, but as having damages on 04/23/[redacted]. I received documents from my insurance showing the repair costs were under $[redacted] while the car was valued at $[redacted]. Your records state that a total loss is considered at 75% of the total appraisal, which in this case, is not even close to 50%. I am requesting to have the total loss designation removed from the report.

I recently bought a [redacted] Chevrolet Malibu Premier with the VIN number 1G1ZH5XXGF244004. There are two issues that have come up regarding the vehicle. Firstly, when purchased, it was listed as white instead of pearl in terms of color. Additionally, there seems to be a discrepancy regarding structural damage on the car, with records showing damage in April [redacted]. However, upon contacting the dealership that serviced the car, they confirmed that the vehicle had never been in an accident and had been meticulously maintained by one of their staff. I'm currently in the process of refinancing the car, but this issue has caused a roadblock as the vehicle is now considered damaged. I need this matter investigated and rectified in my favor, as I was only aware of the color error when buying the car. It's crucial to me as a consumer that this situation is clarified to ensure transparency and accuracy. My name is Bill Parker, the owner of the Malibu in question.

Hello, I was referred by a friend to Carfax’s website to do a history report on a [redacted] Camry Toyota XLE Hybrid that was for sale by the owner, and I chose the one-time fee option of $39.99. However, my card was charged $99.99 instead. I accessed your website on Tuesday, October 20, [redacted], to request the history report on the vehicle with the following details: VIN: 4T1BD1FK8CU012031, make, model, etc. I kindly request that you rectify this overcharge and promptly credit the excess amount back to my credit card. I intended to only conduct one history search on the [redacted] Toyota Camry Hybrid/LE/XLE as listed above. I found your service fees to be considerably higher compared to other company websites I have used previously. I am on a fixed income and was unable to cancel the transaction when I tried. I was greatly disappointed when my card was overcharged by $99.99 on your site. Name: L.D. I discovered an error on the Carfax report for my [redacted] Chevy SS. Despite there being no body damage, a dealer identified a Carfax record associated with a simple estimate for a minor ding on the spoiler. The GM dealer suggested a costly repair involving the complete cover on the front, totaling $[redacted].00, which I found excessive. An independent body shop estimated the actual repair needed would only cost about $[redacted]. I have attempted to contact the company through their email-only platform without success, only receiving a case number [redacted]. The car's VIN is 6G3F15RW3HL301094. Any assistance on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is an error on my Carfax report indicating that my car was considered a total loss in an accident on 8/28/19. Despite sending all the necessary documentation via fax and email twice a day for a month, I have not received any response from them. This mistake is causing issues with my warranty company as they believe my contract is invalid due to the inaccurate information. I have tried multiple times to reach out to Carfax without success. After the accident, my car was actually repaired for less than 70% of its total value, and I have all the supporting paperwork to prove it. I urgently need assistance in rectifying this situation.

I am looking to sell my high-end vehicle, a Maserati Quattroporte S [redacted]. However, when I attempted to sell it to a car dealer, they conducted a Carfax check and found a record of fire damage in June [redacted]. This is inaccurate as my car has never been involved in any fire incidents. The vehicle has been meticulously maintained, with only 14k miles, always stored indoors, and never exposed to harsh weather conditions. The report does not specify who reported this false information. How can I rectify this and have the Carfax report corrected?

I recently purchased a Jeep and planned to take it to Mexico. Unfortunately, my trip was halted because Carfax has labeled the vehicle as stolen. However, the DMV confirmed that my purchase is legitimate. I need assistance in removing this incorrect information from Carfax so I can proceed with my travel plans. The plate number for the Jeep is 8CQF400 and the VIN is 1J4FY29PVP493584. Please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible. If you need to reach me, my contact number is [redacted]. Thank you.

I purchased three reports for $59.99 on 12/08/[redacted]. When I attempted to obtain a report from Carfax, clicking the GO box only caused the arrow to spin in a circle. Despite checking with my internet provider, Comcast, and contacting Carfax via email, the issue persisted. The next day, the report was successfully generated within a minute. However, I received a notification that all three reports were used up. It seems I was charged for two reports that I couldn't access. I appreciate your help in resolving this matter. Thank you, Larry S.
