Help with my CarFax issue
The issue in GetHuman-smokepip's own words
Bought car with a clean Carfax report supplied by GM dealer, no reported damage was stated. I did not inspect the roof of the vehicle at dealership, since it is a rather tall vehicle, a Buick Enclave with **" wheels and I am a ***% disabled Veteran who needs a secure step ladder to stand on. After purchasing and taking home and wanting to polish the roof with my own wax, I then spotted what appeared to be hail damage only on roof panels. I had a Carisma Auto Specialist look at the damage and write an estimate. The estimate was just over $****. TOO much for me to absorb on top of my already $**,***.** investment. I am finding it hard to believe that the original (*) owner never reported that amount of damage to their insurance OR collected for it ! So I am wondering IF the Carfax was accurate or even possibly altered??
GetHuman-smokepip did not yet indicate what CarFax should do to make this right.
I have an issue with CarFax too
How GetHuman-smokepip fixed the problem
I gave up, since I feel Carfax is simply another money grab that when there is an omission or something that is incorrect they have all their bases covered with their fine print. So I went to the dealer directly and he offered to repair the issue. Finished.
