I received a letter stating that my unemployment form was filled out incorrectly or incompletely. The letter instructs me to call, but I have been trying for three days without success. A supervisor was supposed to contact me within 24-48 hours as advised by Oma, but no one has reached out yet. My situation involves three jobs, two of which I still receive checks for, but the third job is my self-employed business crucial for my mortgage payments. Due to COVID-19, I cannot operate this business and have filed a claim for it, starting from 3-15-20, which I missed mentioning in the initial form. Oma mentioned that letters are not processed by a machine and may lead to form rejections. I am eager to speak with a representative to clarify my situation. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.

Hello. I have been trying different numbers without success! Upon logging into my online UI account, the homepage indicated 'Reopen your claim', and I submitted this on June 9th. Shortly after, it confirmed receipt of my claim reopening request. However, after 3 days, it reverted to 'Reopen your claim' on the homepage. Believing it was a glitch, I resubmitted the request on June 18th, receiving confirmation of receipt once more. Unfortunately, the same pattern persisted with it reverting back to 'Reopen your claim' after 3 days. I am perplexed by this situation. I have thoroughly reviewed my claim and am confident in its accuracy. I am unsure if this is an error or a delay. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Anthony D., a lifelong California resident with over 28 years in the workforce. Despite never needing unemployment benefits before, I find myself in a difficult situation now. After waiting for 13 weeks without any assistance, I received an award letter with zeros and a temporary SSN. Despite repeated attempts to reach out to EDD, it took me two months to finally speak with someone on May 13th. I was promised a letter to verify my identity, but the one I received lacked the necessary form. I immediately sent copies of my W-2 and driver's license, but still have not received any updates. I've now sent sensitive documents a third time through the mail to prove my identity, even though it feels risky. Waiting 13 weeks without any support has pushed me to the brink. I only seek what I rightfully deserve. Please, I implore you to release my funds today. Thank you, Anthony D.

My unemployment claim was approved in early April, and I received my first payment on April 27. However, since then, I have not received any further payments. Despite certifying as required, my payments remain "pending" for 9 weeks now. I have been unable to reach anyone as the phone system only leads me to automated responses or disconnected calls after being transferred. Emails have not been helpful either, only acknowledging receipt of my questions. The limited human hours from 8 am to 12 pm make it nearly impossible to get assistance. It is vital for the system to extend human hours or hire more staff to handle the overwhelming demand. Offering online chat support would also be beneficial during this challenging time. Californians deserve access to the benefits they have contributed to over the years, especially in times of need like now. The current situation is unacceptable, and urgent action is required from the state government to address these issues promptly.

I made mistakes on my application stating I am a non-citizen, but I have since submitted the required documents. I received payment for the first two weeks, but when certifying for the following weeks, it prompted me to reopen my claim, which continues to show me as a non-U.S. citizen. Despite emailing EDD multiple times, I have not received a response beyond acknowledgment of receipt. My name is Jennifer Earwood, and my EDD number is ***********. I avoided sharing my SSN in this email. I have tried reaching out via phone but have been unsuccessful. Please assist. Thank you, Jennifer.

I made mistakes on my application initially, where I was listed as a non-citizen. After submitting the requested documents, I received payment for the first two weeks of benefits. However, when trying to certify for additional weeks, I was prompted to reopen my claim. Despite numerous emails to EDD, I have not received any helpful responses except acknowledgement of receipt. My name is Jennifer Earwood, with an EDD number ***********. I refrained from sharing my SSN here. Phone lines have been inaccessible. I urge EDD to correct my status to US Citizen for me to proceed with benefit certifications. Thank you, Jennifer.

After receiving my awards letter on June 2nd, I encountered an issue with my claim when I informed them I was sick for the first two weeks of my unemployment. Despite not having official doctor's records, as I managed my symptoms with over-the-counter medication, my claim is still pending. Unable to get a resolution through the after-hours service, I have been tirelessly calling for days, including [redacted] times today and [redacted] times yesterday, with no success. The frustration and lack of progress have become a daily struggle for me as I try to resolve this issue.

Back in March, I received a claim form at work which was 0-0, as I am a contract worker. I got a paper in the mail to certify for benefits and mistakenly answered some questions about my inability to work due to coronavirus. Now, my payment is pending from the 7th through the 20th. I am worried as I haven't received any payments. I received a notice about filing for an extension since I exhausted my benefits early. I'm hoping for a quick update as I am in urgent need of assistance. I have been trying my best, but the situation is stressful.

I submitted my claim in March and received a notification that it was still pending. After interacting with the PUA, they mentioned I was certifying for benefits, but then it stopped. My PUA claim was activated on June 7th, and I certified both by mail and online. However, I have not received any payments yet, and the status shows as pending. I received a letter about a potential extension but have not received any payments since exhausting my SDI benefits. I am unsure of what steps to take next. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to reopen my claim and print out my 1099G Form with a deadline of today, June 30, [redacted]. However, I encountered issues logging in where I received the wrong reminder picture, initially a chocolate chip cookie. After multiple attempts, I got the correct reminder picture today, but now I am being asked questions I never set up. With no access to my EDD Account, I may have to start a new claim tomorrow. I've tried calling with no success due to high call volume. I need help resetting my password and accessing my 1099G Form correctly. I feel like the website is not responding appropriately, and human assistance seems necessary. The lack of actual intervention is concerning, and the prompt for a catchy headline feels insincere. Will anyone address my issue effectively?

I have been certifying for six weeks now, and each certification is accepted, but the payments never progress beyond "pending" without any explanation. I have submitted seven inquiries and have not received any responses. Moreover, the individual who approved the claim overlooked my recent job as an independent contractor and instead listed an hourly job as my last position. This error has caused me to miss out on benefits that others are receiving. Every time I have attempted to call to rectify this issue, I am informed that they cannot handle the volume of calls and am then disconnected.

I've applied for unemployment three times now. The first time was back in August [redacted], but I missed my call, and they denied me. When I tried to make another appointment, no one returned my call. In March, I applied again, but they sent paperwork with the wrong social security number and a misspelled name. I reapplied in June, and I still haven't heard anything. When I checked online on the benefit program, it says I am not eligible to file. I've worked my whole life, and it's frustrating that I can't get my unemployment, especially when I know of five people who have never worked and received pandemic benefits in a week.

I stopped receiving SDI benefits in May [redacted], but the question about it still appears on my continued claims form. Despite repeatedly indicating that I am no longer on SDI, I have not been receiving payments due to this issue. I have reached out via email and phone multiple times, but the EDD has yet to resolve the problem. I am now stuck waiting for weeks for my payment to be released, only to face the same issue next time because the SDI question remains unresolved. While I wait for the EDD to fix this, I am struggling to afford food and my truck is at risk of repossession.

I had two jobs during COVID-19. Unfortunately, I was fired from Hertz on 03/25/20 but did not file a claim. I continued working part-time at my second job with Patten Energy and filed a claim there. Although I fought for my job back at Hertz through the union and got it back on 04/22/20, I was laid off on the same day. I have been trying to contact EDD to update my information for weeks, but have had no success reaching them by phone, fax, email, or mail.

I recently received an email notifying me that I have pending weeks to claim. Unfortunately, I entered the wrong password while attempting to certify my eligible weeks. When I tried to reset my password by using the "forgot password" option, I encountered an issue with the security questions not matching the ones I initially set up. Consequently, I keep getting locked out each time I attempt to sign in. I have been unsuccessful in reaching out to anyone for assistance in resolving this matter.

Hello, I am reaching out for urgent assistance regarding my unemployment claim filed back in March due to the impact of COVID-19. Despite being approved and issued an EDD customer account number ([redacted]) with a weekly benefit amount specified, my EDD card arrived showing a balance of $0. For the past 3 to 4 months, I have been unable to certify for benefits as the option does not appear when I log in. This ongoing issue has left me in a very difficult financial situation, worsened by continuous notifications of negative EDD bank balances. Despite numerous attempts to contact EDD by phone, I have yet to receive any resolution. I urgently require support as I have not received income since March 5 and continue to be impacted by the pandemic. Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ariel Webley

I applied for the Unemployed Pandemic Assistance Program on May 2, [redacted], but received a notice on May 26th stating an issue with my identity. I submitted the correction form and provided necessary documents like my driver's license and a bill for identity verification. The notice had my social security number incorrect, so I made sure to address this in my response to EDD on June 2, [redacted]. However, since then, I have not received any further communication. I am in urgent need of the benefits owed to me, as I have been struggling to cover my expenses, including rent, for over two months now. Please expedite my claim as I require assistance promptly.

I encountered an issue when trying to "Certify for Benefits." The system incorrectly claimed my benefits had expired when my claim is actually active until 5/8/[redacted]. The online message suggested I might be eligible for a PEUC extension, but my claim is still valid. Despite submitting forms for weeks ending in 6/13/20 to 7/11/20, totaling $3,[redacted], I have not received any payment. I should be paid $[redacted] per week ($[redacted] Weekly Benefit Amount + $[redacted] FAC payment) for each of the 5 weeks. I have contacted EDD multiple times about this but have yet to receive the payments owed. I kindly request for this issue to be fixed promptly to receive the overdue payments. If you need further clarification, please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you for addressing this matter swiftly. Sharon M.

I have been trying to reach someone at EDD over the phone but all numbers are not accepting calls due to high volume. Since June, I have not been able to speak to a live person. The UI Online system is not letting me reset my login information without the account number issued by EDD upon opening the UI claim, which I do not have access to. My 2[redacted]-G form was stolen, and I need it to file my taxes. Multiple emails to EDD have not been helpful, with invalid URLs and rude responses. Despite requesting five duplicate forms since April [redacted], none have been received at my correct mailing address on file. I would greatly appreciate step-by-step instructions via email or a patient phone call to resolve these issues. An emailed copy of the form would be ideal. Thank you. Sincerely, AW Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted]

I received deposits from EDD on my card, but the last one was almost a month ago. I have been certifying but haven't received new benefits. I work for multiple companies. I believe I am not receiving payments because I still work for one employer, which is insufficient to support myself. I disclosed this in my certification paperwork. I received a confirmation letter that may have led to a misunderstanding. I lost my main job due to COVID-19 but have not received the additional benefit promised. EDD must resume my benefits and provide me with my unemployment payment along with the COVID-19 extra benefit.
