Due to an extreme set of unfortunate events, I was unable to update my direct deposit information attached to the Bank of America debit card attached to my EDD account which pushed me past the time allowed to certify for benefits. This caused the system to request I refile completely which disallowed me to certify for the benefits on all the weeks leading up to the current session. I shouldn't have needed to recertify in the first place and need to make absolutely sure I get the money from all the weeks during the interim. So I need to speak with someone at EDD directly to retract the certification and put me back on the previous track of certification I was already on.
I trust that California Employment Development Department (EDD) will make this right and come up with a resolution that is fair.
