I purchased a Butterball frozen turkey from Target on **-**-**** for my Christmas dinner. It cost **.** lbs and I paid $**.**. I kept it frozen for two days and then defrosted it in the fridge. According to the directions which I followed, It should have taken * hours to cook. Now, I have a brand new stove and it has been working fine, but the turkey wasn't done in * hours. In fact, I kept it in for another hour, until it reached *** degrees. well, the turkey wings were cut off at the end. I thought that was odd. But the main reason for my writing to you is that the meat was very moist, almost too moist. In fact, as I cut more & more breast meat off, it became mushy. I won't say fatty, but just mushy. Needless to say I couldn't serve that. The dark meat also seemed fatty. After dinner, I took as much meat as I could get off the bone, but so much of it was mushy, that I wound up throwing the rest away. Now, I've been cooking turkeys for many years (about ** years) and most times I've served Butterball turkey. I have never had an experience like this before. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this product. I didn't anticipate having any problem so I threw all the labels and packaging. However, I do have the Target receipt. How can you resole this issue? Explain to me why this bird was like this and refund me the purchase price. That would be appreciated. I had ** people for dinner and I'm thankful that I also had ham.
