my country, trinidad experienced a natural disaster of epic proportions on the **th of October ****. The roads were impassable due to flooding and what was supposed to be a one hour drive for me turned into a seven hour nightmare that has left me emotionally scarred as I passed through places and saw my fellow country men essentially homeless now. I was unable to make my flight to Barbados on time. due to this disaster Caribbean airlines have been giving refunds to persons affected. however I am unable to access refund because this is a British airways ticket. I write simply asking why does the airline not have a policy in place to deal with situations such as these. how was I expected to get to the airport when all routes were impassable? i think a simple human courtesy could have been extended to me.
