Help with my British Airways issue

Original booking made in February **** *******, Tampa to London Gatwick, flight **** on ******** with return on ******, Gatwick to Tampa flight ****.*In July of **** another booking was made leaving out of New York, first class on ******** to Heathrow with the same return date of ******. Apparently when the second booking was made, BA "merged" the travel as the first booking had not been changed at the time the flight was booked. Original journey booked by me, the other by Amex in July.*Now there is no record of the first journey at all. I do believe I used my miles to book and there is NO record of any miles being returned. I printed out the itinerary on ******* the "original booking" so either the flight had to be booked with miles OR had to be paid for in February when the trip was originally booked. There is no other way this could have been booked. It is one or the other. All credit cards dating back to February show NO charge being posted for the Airfare. Seats were chosen for the flight on *******. My concern is that I have not been credited with the miles???*At present my husband and I are confirmed out of NY from Newark to Heathrow. flight BA *** and inbound on ****** Gatwick to Tampa ****. I need to know how the "original flight" was either paid for or what happened to the miles??? I can be contacted by phone ***-***-**** or by email.*Lavinia Kelly (********)
