I bought the Model #[redacted] Ser #[redacted][redacted]7 Compact Tiller and Cultivator from you approximately 2 years ago. We used it only 5 times, and today it unexpectedly blew a hole in the side of the engine. I'm extremely disappointed! We chose this model for its Briggs and Stratton engine, believing it would be a long-lasting investment. Despite sending in the warranty, it seems to be of no use now. It's baffling how this could happen, considering we always ensure there's enough oil, and the engine won't even start if the oil level is low due to a safety feature. We spent a significant sum on this tiller, expecting it to serve us for over a decade. Yet, after just 2 years, the engine's side is ruptured. I've never experienced any issues with Briggs and Stratton until now. This situation has left me incredibly dissatisfied as a customer.

Good morning, I am encountering issues with my lawn tractor starting and running. I bought a TROYBILT-42" Lawn tractor from Home Depot on April 17, [redacted]. I only use it during the grass cutting season, and unfortunately, this year has been problematic. About 3 weeks ago while cutting, I heard a loud noise. Despite checking under and around the tractor, I found nothing. When I tried restarting it, I only heard clicking sounds. I took it for servicing, and they mentioned an issue with the compression and a broken part in the engine. The engine details are as follows: Briggs and Stratton Serial # [redacted]0 Model # 33R[redacted]G1 Thank you, Mantson S.

Briggs & Stratton Corporate Headquarters P.O. Box [redacted] Milwaukee, WI [redacted] July 6, [redacted] To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to address the challenge I am facing regarding the replacement of my generator's gas cap under your recent recall. I was instructed by Briggs and Stratton customer service to transport the entire generator to the dealer to receive a replacement for this safety concern. Unfortunately, this is highly inconvenient as I lack the means to transport the generator. I believe it is not my fault that a faulty cap was included with the generator, and I am respectfully requesting to be provided with an approved gas cap to resolve this matter. Thank you. Sincerely, J. Bergmann [redacted] Avenue T 1/2 Galveston, TX [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

I am looking for technical details about one of your lawn mower model engines. I noticed that the Briggs [redacted] "Professional Series" engine, 190cc, model# 121q02-[redacted]-F1 has been replaced by model 125P02-[redacted]-F1. However, I am interested in the 8.75 professional series engine, 190cc, with a 25mm x 3-5/32 shaft, as my previous engine had a cast iron sleeve. I need to know if all the Professional models come with cast iron sleeves. Specifically, I am unsure if the 8.75 Professional Series has a cast iron sleeve. As I require a durable engine for heavy-duty mowing, I would appreciate clarification before making a purchase. Thank you.

Hello. I bought a Snapper walk-behind mower four years ago. Listing what hasn't gone wrong with this mower would be easier. Previously, I had a Toro for twenty-five years with minimal issues, though parts were hard to find near the end. I might have been better off buying a Sears and saving money. The Snapper mower I bought commands a high price but has been unreliable. Parts are even hard to find on their website. I've heard the company is in debt and may go out of business. I will soon buy a new mower as this one is failing after four years. I won't purchase from Briggs or Snapper again. The dealer where I bought it closed down, which speaks volumes. Companies like Snapper tarnish the reputation of American products. They should consider selling at Walmart, where inferior products seem to fit. Have a nice day. Best, J.L.

I wanted to share that I had some issues with my recently purchased Troy-Bilt lawn mower that has been under repair for six weeks. I reached out to Jordan Mowers of Vero Beach regarding the delay in returning my mower under warranty. If the warranty claim has been denied, I kindly requested written confirmation via email outlining the reason for the denial for further action. I also provided a list of companies that might be contacted if warranty work is contested or additional charges are applied.

I bought a lawnmower at Lowe’s on June 8. After using it four times, the engine started smoking and making a loud noise. I added oil as instructed and it worked fine until the fourth use. I took it to a local service center and they claimed it overheated due to lack of oil. When I was cutting the grass, the lawnmower began smoking. I checked the oil, and it was low and gray, possibly burnt. I tried to explain this to them, but they were reluctant to cover it stating it overheated. I am unsure how to proceed, but I am confident I maintained the oil level correctly.

I purchased a Regent 42" lawn tractor in [redacted] and I encountered various issues with it. Initially, the drive belt came off the drive pulley four times, requiring multiple visits to Bill Power Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin for repairs. Despite fixing the pulley, I now face a new problem with the bagger attachment, having gone through three bagger deflectors since the tractor's purchase. I would appreciate knowing if this is a common issue with these lawn tractors. Sincerely, Richard E. Pearson N27 W26693 Lauderdale Drive Pewaukee, Wisconsin [redacted] Phone number: [redacted]

I need some assistance with an engine issue. I have been working on motors for 60 years, and I am currently facing a problem with the push rod on my 31R707 engine. Originally, the aluminum push rod broke an inch from the rocker arm, so I replaced it with a steel one. However, it appears that the compression release is not functioning properly now. When I try to start the engine, it reaches the compression cycle, and the starter stops. I am concerned that something may have gone wrong with the release mechanism inside the block. Can someone provide guidance on what the release should look like and if there might be an issue with it? I would appreciate any help before I proceed further into the block. Thank you in advance for any assistance!

I am looking to schedule annual maintenance for my 15kW Briggs & Stratton whole house generator. It's about 8 years old and functioning well. I need a new service provider as the previous maintenance person left abruptly after mistaking black walnuts for dog droppings and had a disagreement with my wife. We'd appreciate recommendations for a reliable maintenance provider.

I am dissatisfied with your service! Order number BS124600 for engine 25T[redacted]-F1, 21 torque engine with a 1-inch shaft and electric start. I chose to buy directly from you despite other suppliers recommending otherwise. You have canceled my order, and I urgently need this engine for my chipper. This situation is unacceptable! I require a drop-in replacement engine without any changes to bolt patterns, wires, shaft length, or size. Your service is poor, and I need the engine promptly. Contact me at 1-[redacted]. - David

I bought a Briggs and Stratton [redacted]-watt Storm Responder generator on 10/24/[redacted]. Recently, during a power outage, I tried using it. However, I encountered some issues. Firstly, when I started it up and turned off the choke completely, it ran rough and almost died, particularly under a load. I had to run it with the choke partially on. Secondly, after about 20 hours with a 38% load, I lost power despite the generator still running, with the output dropping to 17%. Despite trying to reconnect the cords, there was still no power to my appliances. I have been attempting to contact an authorized repair shop, but many only service Generac generators. I am located near Monroe, Washington. I am seeking assistance to find a service provider for my generator or obtain a refund to buy a different one.

I have been searching for information regarding the model numbers for my older Troy-Bilt tiller with a Briggs & Stratton engine. The models provided by Troy-Bilt do not match what is on my machine, leading me to suspect that the engine may have been replaced with a newer model. The tiller, originally manufactured in [redacted], features a flat flywheel with a nylon fan that is partially broken. I am trying to find the correct model number to order a blower housing and a recoil starter. Any assistance in locating the part number or details on Briggs & Stratton engines that initially came with nylon fans would be greatly appreciated as I am currently on the hunt for these parts. I am eager to find a replacement nylon fan for my machine. Thank you for any help you can provide. My name is L.N. Thank you.

I bought a 15.5 HP 42-inch riding mower back in August [redacted]. Just after the 2-year warranty ended, the compression release feature failed and I had it fixed for $[redacted]. Now, a little over 2 years later, the same issue happened again, costing $[redacted] for repair. The repair shop replaced the camshaft and related parts each time. They mentioned it's unusual for this to happen twice. The mower is well-maintained and not overused. You can reach the repair shop at [redacted] and ask for Donald. I believe I should be compensated for these repeated repairs. My old mower lasted 22 years without issues. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Doug B. I am looking for installation instructions for fuel pump kit #[redacted]. I received the kit after a week, but it came without any instructions and I would appreciate some guidance on how to put it back together, especially since the springs are easily misplaced. The pump, with two inlets, is part of the carburetor body assembly for my Craftsman model [redacted],[redacted]. I have noticed that the pump does not get vacuum from the engine but a pulsating 3 to 5 psi; how does this system create a vacuum to draw gasoline into the carb? As this setup is different from others, I would like to know if there are any assembly tips available.

I am writing about my recent experience with the Craftsman M320 self-propelled 163cc gas lawnmower that I purchased from Lowes in Coralville, Iowa, in June [redacted]. Unfortunately, this year the lawnmower wouldn't start. Lowes referred me to Craftsman, who then directed me to Briggs and Stratton. After contacting them, they advised me to take the lawnmower to a certified dealer for repairs. However, when I mentioned the issue with gas in the air filter, I was informed that this repair wasn't covered by the warranty. Despite my request for a copy of the receipt, I was unable to obtain one. I paid around $[redacted] for the lawnmower and would appreciate a resolution to this issue as a concerned consumer. Thank you.

Last August 4, [redacted], I bought a 27 hp Briggs motor, #49T[redacted]-G1, from Carroll Stream Motors. It was installed on my [redacted] Dixie Chopper after the old motor gave out. We used the mower once last year for about 3 hours and this season for about 45 minutes before the new motor had a catastrophic failure. I took it to Davis Farm Supply for warranty inspection, and after 4 months, they found that the rod bearings were not torqued properly, causing significant internal engine damage. Despite this, the warranty claim was denied by Scott Francis at Power Distributor citing lubrication issues during its short runtime. I am seeking assistance on how to have this covered under the 2-year warranty. We followed proper maintenance procedures, including an oil change after the first use. Please contact me via phone or email. Mike M. [redacted] BCR [redacted] Sedgewickville, MO [redacted] [redacted]

I have a Cub Cadet LT1018 riding lawnmower, model number [redacted], equipped with a Briggs and Stratton 18.5 HP ELS [redacted] engine. Approximately a year ago, I encountered an issue where the lawnmower would only run on full choke; when transitioning to the run setting, it would shut off. I am 64, disabled, and on a tight budget, but I am considering repairing it now if the cost is reasonable. It appears to be related to the carburetor, which seems daunting to address due to its complexity. I have attempted to clean the air filters, which did not resolve the problem. Removing and potentially cleaning or rebuilding the carburetor seems necessary. I have searched for instructional videos on YouTube without success specific to my motor and Cub Cadet model. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My lawn mower, which is only 4 months old, is currently at the repair shop, but I have been informed that the warranty will not cover the repair. I had a previous Craftsman B&S mower that lasted 26 years, so I am confident in my ability to operate a mower. The repair shop claims that the mower was operated without oil, which is not true as I made sure to put oil in it before use. It is disappointing that the warranty is not being honored. I am requesting that my lawn mower be fixed and that the warranty be applied as intended. Craftsman push model: 12AVU2B7793

Hello, my name is Sergey Z. I recently purchased a Daewoo snow blower model DAST [redacted] with a Briggs & Stratton Model 15C[redacted]F8 s/n [redacted][redacted] engine. After I filled the engine with oil, it stalled and now won't start manually. I'm aware of the worldwide warranties for your products and engines. I took it to an official Daewoo service center where they found that the engine has a piston seizure, which should be covered under warranty. The service station submitted all the details and technical report to the distributor, but they haven't received an official response after two weeks of discussions with the factory. Since GENPO in Russia is closed, could you please forward my request to US tech support? I can provide more information if needed.
