The issue in GetHuman-tomade's own words
I have just been through a complete nightmare with Best Buy and my Geek Squad extended warranty. I used the self clean option on my Samsung gas range for the first time on October ** of this year and it completely burnt out the thermostat, blacked out the digital display board and locked the oven door. I found out on-line that this is actually a common problem with this stove and Samsung will not recall the unit. The Geek Squad did send a serviceman to my home to fix the oven and I was told it would take approximately * days to get the part. Since that day I have phoned back ** times and have had not repairs made to my stove and been told the part is on back order. Not once was I contacted with an update about this problem by the Geek Squad, every update was supplied to my only upon my constant calls back to the service to find out what was taking so long. I was able to find the necessary part myself on line right in my city of Mississauga Ontario but the Geek Squad says they must wait for their service people to inform them that they have the part in stock before my unit can be serviced??? I have been without an oven for * weeks and now it is only two weeks before Christmas when I am expecting my entire extended family for Christmas dinner. I documented every call I have made to both the Geek Squad and the service company which now total ** phone calls and hours of my time and energy to no avail. How is it possible I paid for an extended * year warranty and even though I had to find the replacement part myself which I have done, they will not install it?? Please contact me to further discuss the incredibly inept service I have been dealing with and why my warranty at the very least did not extend to my being offered a new unit to replace the one that Best Buy and the Geek Squad seem to be completely unwilling to either repair or replace! I have detailed notes on every phone call I have made and who I talked to and how many times I was told I would receive a call back in a set period of time of which not one call was returned.
