Help with my Barnes & Noble issue

I ordered * books in one order without making an account on B&N, and got an email confirming I ordered, but not any shipping confirmation. I waited a few days, then tried using my order number and email address to see my order progress, and the website says I'm not allowed to see my order despite copying down the number and using the address the email was sent to. I thought that was weird, maybe I needed to make an account using that email address, so I did, and it says I have no orders? Checking my credit card account shows the payment is 'pending', so I'm genuinely unsure of if there's some sort of issue or if I just need to wait and that's why my order number doesn't work.
