My mother in law purchased a iron from the Castle Vale store on Friday *nd August but when she switched it on on Saturday *rd it was obvious by the noise it was making that there was a problem*My wife took her straight to the store to exchange it and to be quite blunt the manager of the stores attitude was disgusting.*She was adamant there was nothing wrong with the iron despite refusing to switch it on and insisting she had plugged it into the tester and it was fine,*Understand that she was dealing with ** year old pensioner who went out to my wife who was waiting outside and she was nearly in tears as she said they wouldn't change what was a faulty iron and she had the receipt proving it was brand new.*My wife then went into the shop where the manager was adamant she wouldn't change the iron and when my wife pointed out her consumer rights the iron was reluctantly exchanged but not without this so called manager being rude and totally unprofessional by talking to my wife and mother in law in derogatory terms and telling them to pick the right iron next time as if it was their fault that this one was faulty.*I know this manager as I've had the same problem with her myself with a faulty product and sadly my wife also had this issue with her when she had to return some bedding, I am not concerned about these incidents but when a so called manager reduces an elderly woman to tears when she is well within her rights to return a product she doesn't feel safe using only to be met with bullying and insults then I'm afraid I'm left with no option but to escalate this matter .*I was going to go into the shop yesterday myself to get her name but having dealt with her on previous occasions and seeing how upset she had made my mother in law I thought it best to leave it and just give yourselves a description and let you deal with this matter.*Shes a middle aged lady with blonde hair with a serious chip on her shoulder. I'm assuming she's the manager because that's what she say's but she may be a supervisor but whatever she is she needs retraining and lessons in how to deal with the general public and als educating in consumer law.*Despite the fact that I work over the road from this store at Jaguar cars because of this persons attitude when I dealt with her previously I never use this store just in case she's on and have now told my mother in law to use Sutton instead.*It's a shame because the majority of your staff are always helpful and pleasant and if this was an isolated incident then I wouldn't bother you but as I've stated it's happened before so I'd be surprised if complaints haven't been made before, if this is the first one about this individual then although shocked at least it brings her unprofessional conduct to your attention.
