Our daughter signed up my husband for ancestry.com* my husband and I have one computer and sent in our individual DNA tests* the report I received is basically a 'non-report' with one first cousin, then *rd & *th cousins with email names* my husband cannot even get his report even though he received an email notice that his report was ready. 'when I tried to get more facts from my DNA report, it ended up saying my mother was my step-grandmother, but no other details. We were not told we had to join one of the family trees before doing our DNA testing, and now my report says I can get more information if I will buy a subscription to ancestry.com. This is totally false advertising and seemingly a gimmick for more and more money. I want my DNA information as advertised, not just requests for more money* I am retired and could barely afford to get the DNA tests. One of my many first cousins' reports seems to indicate I have a half-brother* I know this person and want to find out for sure as he has Alzheimers, so the quicker I find out the better!
