After making my reservation (C**C**), I realized that I had to use my company's own booking agency. I called to cancel my trip and they told me it would be a partial refund. They also told me that if I called the following morning, they would be able to issue a full refund. I did call in the morning but was not able to reach anyone due to high volume. I then called in the evening and after waiting for half an hour got an agent, who also said to call in the morning to get the full refund. The next morning I called once more and the Customer Relations agent told me that I could not get a full refund due to the policy for value fare. I was misled from the beginning that I would be able to get a full refund and as a result, I had already reserved another ticket from my company's travel agency. I had to call * times, wait for over an hour on the phone and achieve nothing.
GetHuman-ferhant did not yet indicate what Amtrak should do to make this right.
