Hello, I have been with American home shield for a little over three years now. I have used this company twice and both happened to be with the central air conditioning unit. The first time the motor had gone bad and it was replaced by the technician that was provided. This was about two years ago. The wiring for the motor was not properly installed causing a short in the system and the motor has gone bad once again. I had a technician out today that made a full report on the improper installation of the motor and wiring which is why the motor malfunctioned prematurely. Before I go through home warranty to supply a technician to replace the motor again I would prefer using someone more reliable where I know the job will be done correctly and professional. The price of the replacement of the motor is $*** and that is the general price with every company. Last time I used the home warranty it took ** days to have a technician come out to correct the problem. It is currently *** degrees Fahrenheit in the Palm Springs area so air conditioning is a nessecity for my family. My question is that if the technician I had look at the motor today replaces the motor would you do a reimbursement because you would pay your company the same price regardless to restore a blown motor and the motor only was faulty due to the improper installation when it was replaced. Please get back to me as soon as possible.
