I spoke with an AMEX customer service representative who confirmed that if I enrolled in the Delta Reserve card in late December [redacted] and met the $3,[redacted] spending minimum by December 31, [redacted], the 10,[redacted] bonus MQMs would count towards my [redacted] medallion status. Following this advice, I applied for the card and reached the spending requirement by the end of December. Although the bonus miles were granted, they were applied to my [redacted] status instead of my promised [redacted] status. Despite multiple phone calls, extensive time wasted, and unsatisfactory interactions with an AMEX supervisor, I have been informed that the original information I received was inaccurate. AMEX determines the issuing of bonus MQMs based on their confirmation date of reaching the spending threshold, leading to confusion. Despite my efforts, I am unable to enjoy the Platinum status I would have rightfully attained if the bonus MQMs had been allocated correctly. As a devoted AMEX customer, I seek a resolution either through canceling the Delta Reserve card and refunding the $[redacted] fee or collaborating with Delta to transfer the bonus MQMs to my [redacted] medallion status.

My wife encountered an issue with a Holiday Inn gift card in Gresham, Oregon, even though our room in Oceanside, CA, had no pending charges. Holiday Inn stated there were no issues, yet the card was put on hold until March 28, well after issuance. I always thought gift cards were as good as cash - could you ever put a hold on cash? My wife tried to resolve this over the phone, waiting 25 minutes only to be disconnected while being transferred to a supervisor. This experience makes me doubt American Express's commitment to honoring their gift cards.

I encountered an issue with a Holiday Inn gift card when my wife attempted to use it in Gresham, Oregon. Despite confirmation from Holiday Inn that there were no pending charges on our room in Oceanside, CA, the gift card was unexpectedly placed on hold. We were instructed to wait until March 25th, a month and a half after receiving the card. I always thought gift cards were as good as cash; after all, can you imagine a hold being placed on cash? My wife attempted to contact them but was inconvenienced by a 25-minute wait on hold only to be disconnected when she was being transferred to a supervisor. This experience leaves me questioning the reliability of American Express gift cards.

I have been interacting with a performer in Ghana for several months. He is well-known in his country, and I have verified his identity through social media and video calls. Initially, I assisted him with his career and provided management support. Eventually, he secured a sponsor, Herbert Stevens from Goldman Sachs, who requested that I buy an iPhone and a watch and send them to Ghana, to be paid for using my American Express card. I agreed and shared my card details, excluding passwords and security codes. I later realized he made a payment of around $[redacted] without informing me. Subsequently, Herbert Stevens asked for a $16,[redacted] payment, confirming I was an authorized account signer, which I thought was for the entertainer's business expenses. Despite my initial caution, after speaking with American Express multiple times to confirm the payments were legitimate and irreversible, I proceeded. Recently, my tax consultant suggested I might be a victim of identity theft, prompting me to alert American Express, change my account details, and report the issue to the authorities. American Express later reversed the payments. I have always been a loyal customer and acted in good faith. I am seeking guidance on how to address this matter moving forward. Thank you. -Carol L.

I have experienced several unauthorized transactions on my Bluebird card. After reporting the fraud, I was given steps to resolve the issue. However, I am struggling to obtain and provide the requested documentation of my previous attempts to contact the website responsible for resolving the issue before contacting American Express for assistance. Despite multiple attempts to reach them via phone and email, I have not received any response.

I have been an American Express member since [redacted] with a flawless record. Recently, I upgraded to an unlimited line and was aiming for an invitation to the black card. However, I encountered an issue with a new bank payment to AE. Despite calling AE 16 times in 3 weeks, I faced being disconnected or hung up on 8 times. I spent over 22 hours on hold, including 2 hours today. AE arranged two 3-way calls with my bank insisting the payments were made, which isn't accurate. It's frustrating that AE is seeking more business when they struggle to support long-term customers like me. I've spoken with representatives from various locations, and if there were language barriers, they refused to transfer me or hung up. This problem began 4 weeks ago, prior to the pandemic. I'm waiting for a call back within 48 hours, hoping for a resolution. Thank you, as this has impacted my business. - Steve C. [redacted] [redacted]

I received an email from American Express Serve about a transaction flagged as fraud by my previous phone company. The attempted charge on my old card was declined by AMEX, resulting in a restriction on my account. As a result, I am unable to use my card or access my funds. I urgently need the restriction to be lifted. Despite my numerous attempts to contact them over the past few days, every time I do, I am informed that I need to call a different number for assistance, which turns out to be the same number I initially dialed.

I have attempted multiple times to buy your gift cards online. It used to be easy for me to do this for our company (G). This is the second time this year, and each time my company credit card is rejected. I contacted the credit card company, and they confirmed that there were no issues with the card and that American Express did not even attempt the transaction. When I reached out to your customer service line, I was informed that there was nothing they could do to resolve the matter. I inquired about an alternative contact number but was told there wasn't one, so I ended the call frustrated. As a solution, I opted to purchase Visa gift cards instead. A similar situation occurred previously, leading me to buy Visa gift cards in-store. We frequently hold contests that involve sending out American Express cards, but unless this issue is rectified from your end, I may not attempt to make a purchase again.

I am disappointed by American Express - I feel like I was scammed! I previously used an AMEX corporate green card as a member of the Carl Zeiss AG company. Fernando Nascimento, Account: XXXXX-[redacted] Membership Rewards - [redacted]77 Due to no longer working for this company and the card being cancelled, I cannot access the account to address my concerns through the system or by contacting you directly. In November-[redacted], I requested the exchange of reward points for 2 sports items and 2 social-fare donations. However, I have not received the sports gear I ordered, and I am concerned that the social organizations and individuals in need did not receive the donations. Despite multiple complaints to AMEX, including a promise from Mr. Carlos Uran on 22/12/[redacted] at 14:25 (Madrid - Spain local time), the issue remains unresolved. I feel cheated by American Express and their handling of my rightful reward claims. The company's actions amount to deception, irresponsibility, and repeated disregard for customer complaints. I no longer wish to support American Express and will ensure those around me are aware of my experience with the company. Fernando Nascimento

Hello, My brother Steve BARNY applied for an Amex card and requested an additional card in my name, Mr. MORNAL Luciano. Although Mr. BARNY is the primary cardholder, the additional card was denied due to some past issues I encountered with you. I faced unexpected difficulties, which can happen to anyone, and I have always been prompt in repaying without delay. It came as a surprise to me that the additional card was declined, especially since Mr. BARNY is the main account holder. I am struggling to comprehend this situation and felt compelled to express my concerns. I understand your responsibility for the cards and that you are not obligated to approve them. However, I wanted to raise this issue and understand if this is a general policy or an individual decision. I appreciate your attention to this message. Best regards, Mr. MORNAL Luciano [redacted] Rue Michel Ange [redacted] Paris

Subject: Unauthorized Charges on Amex Account Still Unresolved To the AMEX Team, I have been continuously charged for disputed transactions since April, with a total of USD 5,[redacted].15 from Freeman Co. These charges are in dispute, and we refuse to accept them. I request that these charges be removed from my May and June statements. The charges on our AMEX card by Freeman Boston were unauthorized as the services were not provided. The event for which we were charged was canceled due to the CV-19 pandemic, well before Freeman Boston could have rendered any services. As a result, the charges are illegitimate, and we demand a full refund. Despite reaching out to Freeman Boston for a refund, we have not received a response regarding the unauthorized charge. I urge you to address this issue promptly and credit our account accordingly. This is the third time I have raised this concern, and it remains unresolved. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. Sincerely, R. G.-H. Capitalsea LLC

I cancelled my American Express card in [redacted] when I moved to Oman after being a member for over 25 years. I had a billing issue related to international charges and was convinced to switch to a "no annual fee" card. I later faced overdue charges I suspect were linked to this problem. Now, while preparing to return to the US and apply for a mortgage, I discovered a reported late payment on my credit report by American Express. I seek assistance in identifying and addressing this issue. I am willing to pay any valid charges. Due to living in Oman, I prefer email communication due to expensive phone calls to the US. Thank you for your attention.

I have not received any updates on my American Express account and wish to obtain a new card to the address provided in Iquique, Chile. Name: Jose Miguel Araya Mallea ID: 10.[redacted].[redacted]-1 I kindly ask for a replacement card to be sent to my current address at Av. Cerro Dragon [redacted], Iquique, Chile. I recently got terminated from my American Express account because I accidentally tried to link my mom's bank card to my account. My name is Daniel McHale, and my mom's name is Debra McHale, so I understand why this mistake occurred. I have been a loyal customer for four years and have multiple accounts associated with Jackson Hewitt and Ingo Money through a partnership with American Express. I feel like I should have received a warning instead of being terminated, especially since the terms were not explicitly clear. I had around $90 in my account, which was not returned to me after the termination. They mailed me a check, but I'm still puzzled by the whole situation.

I am disappointed with American Express, so much so that I have cancelled my card. They lost a loyal customer who will not be returning. Initially given a $19,[redacted] credit limit, they reduced it to $1,[redacted], which was insulting and disrespectful. Despite a clean record of using and paying off the card, they made a senseless decision that affected my credit. Paying off my balance was a wise move, thanks to their actions. It's clear they lack concern for their customers. I'm thankful this happened, as it highlighted the kind of company they are. I hope others are not treated as carelessly as I was. - M. Bustillo

I am disappointed that American Express has refused to waive a late fee even though I promptly paid the full balance just two days after the due date. I have been a loyal member for many years and have multiple Amex accounts. I had only received one courtesy waiver on this account 11 months ago and did not ask for any help during the financial challenges of the COVID pandemic. I kindly request that Amex acknowledges my loyalty and tenure as their customer by reversing the $29 late fee.

Subject: Unauthorized Use of Mailing Address for Residence Proof Hello, my name is Chien Ching Chiu, and I reside at [redacted] Via De La Paz, Pacific Palisades, CA [redacted]. I have been receiving mail addressed to Mathew Scott Petersen at my home, specifically related to his American Express account, which I have returned with a note indicating "RETURN/NO SUCH PERSON." Subject: Unauthorized Use of My Address for Proof of Residence Hello, My name is Chien Ching Chiu, and I live at [redacted] Via De La Paz, Pacific Palisades, CA [redacted]. I want to bring to your attention the unauthorized use of my address by Mathew Scott Petersen. I have repeatedly received mail addressed to him, including for his American Express account in March and September [redacted]. Despite returning the mail as "RETURN/NO SUCH PERSON" on 11/24/[redacted], the issue persists. I have reported this fraudulent activity to the USPIS/United States Postal Inspection Service since November [redacted], particularly for his child's school letters. Additionally, my home has experienced two forced entries this year, coinciding with my receipt of Mathew Scott Petersen's driver's license from the DMV in August [redacted]. My water bill has also been canceled twice within a year. I urge you to investigate this matter promptly and cease all mail addressed to Mathew Scott Petersen coming to my home. I have been advised to contact all senders using my address and want to clarify that I am not liable for his misleading conduct or unlawful use of my address for proof of residence. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Chien Ching Chiu 09/20/[redacted]

I have been a loyal cardholder of two Platinum Cards - one personal and one corporate - for over 15 years. My monthly credit line was $14,[redacted] with an additional $35,[redacted] "Pay As You Go" credit line, but unfortunately, both cards have been cancelled. Despite being occasionally late on payments, I have never exceeded a 30-day delay and consistently spend an average of $[redacted] per month. Recently, a payment was returned due to an outdated bank account used inadvertently, as I had added two new bank accounts due to COVID. The mistake caused a non-sufficient funds (NSF) status, which I promptly rectified by making the payment from the new accounts. My account is now clear of any debt, and my history with AMEX is exemplary. I have reached out to AMEX for reinstatement, providing basic information to a front-line representative. However, I urgently require access to the AMEX Platinum customer service team to have both cards reinstated. As it significantly impacts my business and financial activities, I am in need of swift resolution.

I would like to close my American Express account, which I opened seven years ago. I have a remaining balance on the account and do not have an activated card for it. When I tried to withdraw the funds to my current bank account, I kept getting redirected to the homepage requesting card activation. There seems to be no option to request a check for the remaining balance. I attempted to report my card lost to obtain a new one, but I encountered an error instructing me to contact customer service. I simply want to close this account as I have not used it for seven years.
