I was trying to find out where my home delivery was* a second delivery was scheduled, and no delivery then either. Links finally worked and I got the automatic reply of the services they offer, etc. A second reply to another of their links garnered a reply from a person who said to reply to let them know if my order did NOT arrive during a certain time, and they would refund the payment. I re... ... Re: Von's home delivery service, La Jolla, CA. Order No. ********. (Route ****-********, *** Van B*.) This was supposed to be delivered Tuesday, ****, between * and *pm. At *:**pm, I was called as to a delay until around *:***pm. I waited outside with a flashlight until after **:**pm, and no one showed. I checked again at **:**AM, and still nothing. It it now Thursday, and I still have no delivery, although Von's has my payment, and sent a receipt. I've sent what the website forms that will go through, except some come up with blank pages. I've spent over * hours on hold at the ***-***-**** number, and am once again on hold. I need to know some way of getting through to the service to find out when*if my order will be delivered, and since there's lots of cheese and bread items, I want it replaced. The local Von's where I shop can't help, and said they get about ** calls per day on this type of problem. I can find no way of contacting the delivery service area, and even called back the person who phoned about the delay of having to return to the store. I've heard nothing back. I'm now trying through the corporate office of Albertson's. I need my order. My car is un-operable, so I have no way to drive to my local store, or I wouldn't have started this Home Delivery Service. BTW, I've now been on hold for ** mins at the **** number, and I placed the call at *:**am when the line was listed as opening.
The other on-line order places I use extensively for pet items, etc., let me know if ANYTHING is being held up, or when it will arrive, etc. This service didn't even phone on the second non-delivery, and I still don't know why they decided to ignore my order. I have a receipt for payment issued at the time the first order should have been delivered.
The company could make this right by contacting me and saying that someone would bring my order and would phone me when they're in front of the house, even if they couldn't give a specific time. I expected professionalism. I would also expect a phone number that a customer could call and speak to a representative without holding for two or more hours.
I've been a retail customer of Albertsons and then Vons for *** years. This is the first time I've tried Delivery Service, and only because my car isn't working.
I filled in their on-line "problem" forms since the links began to work. I answered the email from the one representative regarding non-delivery and payment. I've heard nothing.
