The issue in GetHuman-natasiam's own words
Hi there, I made a booking for a ** day holiday in Hout Bay, Cape Town South Africa. The host Rob sent me a WhatsApp message on Saturday to let me know that his kitchen caught a light and that he was offereing an alternative house one of his friends. I refused this as I am not comfortable accepting a none Airbnb property. The host has been insisting that I consider the alternative then came back to me to say that the damage is not too bad. I refused to continue with the booking because I did not want to spend my holiday in a smoke smelling home. The host then informed and confirmed via screen dump that he had changed his cancellation policy and that I could cancel and get a full refund. However when I cancelled the Airbnb message reflects R*.** zero will be refunded. Am I loosing my holiday because of this bungle up. To add insult to injury the host has been very rude and aggressive *I have identified another property in Cape Town and am due to leave in two days time. Pleased revert ASAP. I am now stranded with my two children.
