I had a AAA retension representative call me yesterday in the morning. I couldn’t talk so I called back that evening. I renewed my membership which had lapsed mainly due to relocating to a new state and the holiday rush. When I renewed I asked when my membership would be active and was told immediately. *I required a battery to be jumped as my car lights were left in in cold weather - i just replaced the battery last week. When I called AAA I was told I’d incur an additional $** charge. I explaine that I was informed my membership was active. I was informed this is a new policy. I asked that the charge be waived due to what I was and wasn’t told at sign up. *I spoke to maybe three levels of supervisors and no one could help. The last person I spoke to said a supervisor would call me - they never called. I expressed my concern that I would not get a call back and was told they would call back within the hour. Didn’t happen.*This is extremely bad customer service AAA. I’m **, semi-disabled and on SS bbenefits my only income so money is very tight. It’s cold and snowing and my auto will not start!
