Clanton*To: AAA*********Member*: ******************Email: *****@***.com****I am sending this letter as additional comments for reimbursement as well as a complaint of the service I received. I am aware of the overage payment for miles over ***. My vehicle stopped on ******** around **:** am on the I-** in Greensboro, NC near exit ***, per the State Trooper. My GPS showed *** miles to get to my home. ** I understand that it was a busy day, I waited for over * hours. The State Trooper jumped my vehicle to get me out of the road and waited with me for over an hour. State Troopers are not supposed to give jumps. I was told by the service driver that I could not be towed until the next day. They said they would tow my vehicle to a storage and then to the AAA garage and then to Rocky Mount Precision Tune *st thing in the morning. I didn’t agree with that, but I was at the mercy of AAA. I called my daughter who drove from Mooresville, NC to get my dog. She also took me to rent a car to go home because AAA couldn’t tow me that day. **On ******** at *am I called AAA to change the tow destination from Precision Tune to Firestone, whose hours were *am to *pm. Precision Tune was closed, Firestone was across the road. I was at Firestone at *am. I called AAA again to confirm the change. I was told by the AAA agent that the AAA garage opened at *:** am and the vehicle was already in Rocky Mount. Since I was already in Rocky Mount at Firestone I drove to Precision Tune and I didn’t see my vehicle. My vehicle wasn’t in Rocky Mount the morning of the **th as stated. After waiting a while, I called AAA again and was told the service driver was leaving Greensboro and would be there about * or *pm. I called again about *:**pm and was given the number of the driver who said he was in route. The driver arrived about *:** pm, I waited all day. Firestone closed at *pm. I could not get my vehicle fixed nor could I return the rental on the **th. My vehicle was fixed on ******** and I returned the rental that day as well.**I would like to be reimbursed the correct amount for the mile over ***. Also, I would like reimbursement for the amount of the car rental because AAA was to unable to tow me to my destination on ********. I have been a AAA member for most of my adult life and so has many of my family members. I have been satisfied with the service over the years. **This instance was very difficult to grasp. After the traumatic experience of my car stopping in the middle of the I-** and cars going by ** mph, I had to rent a car and drive home because AAA was not able to tow me on ********. I would like to believe that it wasn’t about AAA being so busy that they would lose money because of the distance to my destination. Maybe it was a driver shortage or know one wanted to drive that far. Whatever the reason- I called for service* I waited my turn and I still don’t understand not being towed to my destination that day. It cost me. ***Respectfully, Patricia J Clanton
