What is the process for obtaining a learner's permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Utah, applicants must be at least 15 years old and pass a written knowledge test. Applicants under 18 must also have a parent or legal guardian sign their permission. After passing the knowledge test, applicants will also need to pass a vision test and provide proper identification and proof of residency. A fee will be required for the permit application. Once all requirements are met, the learner's permit will be issued, allowing the permit holder to practice driving under the supervision of a licensed driver. It is important to review the Utah Driver Handbook and practice safe driving habits before taking the test.
