What is Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO)?

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) is a member-owned electric utility company serving over 165,000 customers in Southern Maryland. It was established in 1937 and has been providing reliable and affordable electricity to the region for over 80 years.
