Right of Rescission

Any consumer has a three-day right of rescission after this disclosure receipt at the time service is initiated or when a change takes place in terms or conditions. You may cancel in writing or by electronically contacting SCANA Energy by clicking here. In order for the cancellation to be deemed as timely, you will need to contact SCANA Energy within 3 days of notice or receive materials. You can contact SCANA Energy, by e-mail, telephone, or U.S. mail. If you choose to contact Scana Energy by U.S. Mail, it must be postmarked by the third day after receipt of notice or materials.

Disconnection of Service

To request a disconnection of service, click here to contact Scana Energy now. Disconnection depends on AGLC's service schedule. Therefore, the date of your request for disconnection and the date of disconnection may be different. You are responsible for the charges associated with your service until disconnection has been completed. If you decide to cancel a fixed-rate plan you will be required to pay an exit fee along with any unpaid balance. Check your disclosure statement to find out more about the exit fee where the terms are outlined. However, if you decide to cancel your current fixed-rate term to select a new one with Scana Energy, your exit fee can be prorated.

If you are terminating your service with Scana Energy due to relocating without changing providers, you will not be charged the exit fee or if you are a low-income customer who is seeking services from a regulated provider for the first time. SCANA Energy gives you an option of Automatic Renewal with certain fixed-rate plans. If you choose the fixed-rate plan along with this option, when your current fixed-rate plan expires, the fixed-rate plan specified in the advanced written notification will automatically renew. If you are placed on a new fixed-rate plan automatically, you will have 90 days from the start of your new fixed-term to make another choice with no exit fee.

If applicable, your deposit along with the accrued interest will be refunded to your account within 60 days, if all your bills are paid on time and in full as designated on your monthly bill for six consecutive months, or you can request a check for a refund of your deposit. If you discontinue service or change marketers, your deposit will be refunded within sixty 60 days, less any balance owed. Any deposit held after six months will accrue applicable interest.
