How Do I Hard Reset My Phone from Radio Shack?
Radio Shack sells iPhones and a wide variety of Android phones. If your Radio Shack phone has been hacked, or if your systems settings have become corrupted during an interrupted download, you may need to perform a hard reset on the phone to return it to its factory settings. Just follow the instructions given below.
How to Hard Reset an Android Phone that Won't Start
- Turn the phone off.
- Press the Power button and the Volume Up button at the same time and hold them down.
- Once the Recovery Menu appears on the screen, release both of the buttons.
- Locate Wipe Data/Factory Reset on the Recovery Menu by navigating with the Volume Up and Down buttons.
- Highlight the Wipe Data/Factory Reset option.
- Press the Power button. The Confirmation screen will appear.
- Highlight Yes – Delete All User Data using the Volume buttons.
- Press the Power button.
- Select Reboot System Now. Your phone will power down and start again with the factory settings restored.
How to Hard Reset an Android Phone that Does Start
- Go to your phone's Home screen.
- Start the Settings app.
- Locate and select the Backup & Reset option. You will get a warning that a factory reset means you will no longer be able to recover your saved data.
- Select Factory Data Reset. The reset process will begin.
- Restart the tablet once the reset process has finished.
How to Hard Reset an iPhone that Won't Start
- Press the Home button and the Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time and hold them down.
- Once the phone shuts off and restarts, release the buttons. The phone has now begun the reset process.
How to Hard Reset an iPhone that Does Start
- Open the Settings app.
- Select General.
- Select Reset.
- Select Erase All Content and Settings.
- Once the prompt asking you if you want to reset to factory settings appears, click on the OK button. The reset process will begin.
