To transfer a Meralco service connection, certain requirements need to be fulfilled. Firstly, the customer must provide a written request for service transfer to Meralco, either through their website or customer service channels. Along with the request, a valid ID and proof of occupancy at the new address must be submitted. The ID can be a government-issued ID or a company ID. Additionally, the customer is required to settle any outstanding obligations, such as unpaid bills or previous connections. A signed Service Contract must also be provided, which includes the terms and conditions for the transfer. Lastly, a meter reading must be conducted at both the old and new location, preferably on the same day of transfer, to ensure accurate billing. By fulfilling these requirements, customers can successfully transfer their Meralco service connection.
