If you have forgotten your password while trying to log into your Interactive Brokers account, Interactive Brokers has options available to reset it. As an Interactive Brokers customer, you will have trouble accessing your account if you cannot log in. If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset your Interactive Brokers password.
Whenever you log in to your Interactive Brokers account, you need to enter your password. If you already have an Interactive account but forgot your password, click on the Forgot Password option on the login screen. It will redirect you to another page to provide a valid email address.
Click on the Account tab and click on Interactive Brokers Client Center. Enter your username and password and click the Sign In button. Click on the Security tab and select Forgot Password. Enter your username and email address.
On the Personal Profile page, you can change your password, manage your accounts and their commission rates and fees, and change various account settings. Click on the Edit link next to the password field to make the changes.
Once you log in, click on the Securities and Financial Services tab. Scroll down to Change Password under that heading. To change your password, type your old password in the Old Password field and then both new passwords (one in each New Password field). If your new password is incorrect, type it in again and click Save.
Go to the Request Password Reset page. Type your new password into both fields and click Reset Password.
