You might want to cancel a recurring payment if you start a new banking relationship with another institution or need better budgeting and fewer late fees. It's important to cancel your recurring bill payments before you are due to make your next payment.
Here are the steps to cancel a recurring bill payment with First Republic Bank.
Sign in to First Republic Bank's online banking portal. On the home page, click the Online Services link. It will take you to a page that displays your account information and a list of various options for managing your account.
Scroll down to the Bill Payment section and select Manage Bill Payment Service. This will take you to a page that lets you view the recurring bill payments.
Look for the one you want to cancel and click the corresponding Cancel button. Any terms or conditions to fulfill before cancellation will be here.
If all is in order, click the Continue button. The page will ask you to sign in again. Enter your online banking username and password as usual, then click Submit. It will direct you back to your bill payment history page.
Click on recurring payments. This will take you to a page with bill payments scheduled through your First Republic Bank account. Select any payment you want to cancel or edit by clicking on it, then click Edit or Cancel.
You may also need to select Payment Options and choose whether to change how often you make this payment. To cancel any particular payment, click the drop-down arrow next to that transaction, and click Cancel Payment.
Scroll down to Remove Existing Schedules. This will take you back to a previous screen. Choose None, then confirm your choice by clicking Remove Schedule. Cancel a recurring payment by repeating these steps until you have canceled all such payments.
To complete your cancellation, confirm that all information is correct and hit save. You should receive an email confirmation when First Republic Bank has confirmed the cancellation.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers. So we created a free concierge service you can call at the phone number below.
