Are pets allowed on the trains?

Asked 7 months ago
Yes, pets are allowed on most trains operated by Deutsche Bahn. However, there are certain rules and regulations that must be followed. Small pets, such as cats and dogs (up to the size of a house cat), can travel for free if they are kept in a suitable container and do not exceed a weight of 30 kg. Larger dogs require a half-price ticket and must be kept on a leash and muzzled. Additionally, guide dogs for the visually impaired can travel at no extra cost without any size or weight restrictions. It is crucial to ensure that pets do not disturb other passengers or cause any inconvenience during the journey.
