What are the requirements for registering to vote in Connecticut?

Asked a year ago
To register to vote in Connecticut, you must meet certain criteria. First and foremost, you must be a United States citizen and at least 17 years old (though you must turn 18 by Election Day in order to cast your vote). You must also be a resident of Connecticut and not have been convicted of a disqualifying felony or be deemed mentally incompetent by a court. If you meet these requirements, you can register by completing the voter registration form available online or at various locations, including town halls, DMV offices, libraries, and voter registration agencies. The completed form can be submitted by mail, online, or in person. The deadline to register to vote is seven days before an election, or on Election Day if you choose to register in-person at the designated location.
