What are the requirements for registering to vote?

Asked a year ago
To register to vote in Tennessee, you must meet several requirements. First, you must be a U.S. citizen. Second, you need to be a resident of Tennessee and at least 18 years old. Next, you must not have been convicted of a felony (unless your voting rights have been restored), or a court-declared incompetent. Additionally, you need to provide a valid Tennessee driver's license or photo identification issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. If you don't possess either, you may submit a Social Security number during registration. Finally, the deadline for registration is 30 days before an election. By meeting these requirements and submitting the necessary documents, you can ensure your right to participate in Tennessee's democratic process and exercise your vote.
