How do I fix a broken Boost Mobile phone if I have insurance?

In today's world, we depend on our phones for a number of things; in fact, without our phone, some of us would be lost. Therefore, it is a good idea to have insurance that can be used to either replace or repair your phone should it be damaged.

Boost Mobile is a well-established phone service provider owned by Sprint that offers plans with great perks and competitive prices. Boost also offers an insurance plan called "Boost Shield" through the "Zurich American Insurance Company" that can help protect your phone against damages that occur. The program is administered by Brightstar Device Protection, LLC and the licensed agent is Brightstar Agency, LLC. However, the McAfee mobile security app is not covered by the plan.

Enrolling is easy and the plan is affordable at just $7 per month. However, you only have 30 days from the time you purchase and activate your phone, trade-in for a new phone, or upgrade to a new phone to enroll, so act fast. After signing up, coverage will begin when your next billing cycle starts.

In order to enroll, your phone must be in great condition and fully operational upon activating. Some rules and restrictions may apply.

Boost Shield Cell phones may not be so fragile, but they do break. It is a common issue that many individuals may have to face eventually. With the Boost Shield insurance plan in place, your phone will be protected from damages and you will feel content never having to worry about a broken boost mobile phone.

What Does The Boost Shield Cover?

The following are some types of damages that Boost Shield covers to your phone and accessories that were included with it:

• Damaged Boost Mobile Phone (Cracked screens)

• Lost Boost Mobile Phone

• Stolen Boost Mobile Phone

• Out-of-warranty equipment failure (including electrical or mechanical breakdown)

• Accidental damage (Water damage)

Boost Shield covers claims for up to $1,500 with a 2 claims per year limit for a Broken Boost Mobile Phone, Damaged Boost Mobile Phone, Lost Boost Mobile Phone, or a Stolen Boost Mobile Phone.

How Much Deductible Will I Be Required to Pay with Boost Shield?

Like with most insurance plans you will have to pay a deductible before the insurance claim kicks in. The cost of your deductible will vary depending on the condition of your phone and the situation. Usually, you can expect to pay an amount of $20, $50, $100, or $175. However, flagship phones manufactured by Samsung, Apple, or other generally charge higher deductibles. In fact, all of the iPhone 4 brands and newer charge the $175 deductible.

Your deductible is determined at the time of purchase based on the price of your device and will remain the same even if the price of your phone goes up or down.

You can file a claim 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Click here to find all the information you will need to file your claim now.
