How Do I Get a Refund from Bookbyte for an Overcharge?

Since 1999 Bookbyte has helped students buy and sell textbooks to make higher education more affordable. If you have used Bookbyte, and you were overcharged, you'll want to know the steps to getting a refund. How do you get a refund from Bookbyte for an overcharge? You can contact Bookbyte customer support here for information and assistance, and below are steps you can take to get a refund.

Requesting a Refund from Bookbyte

Return/Refund Policy

The first step in getting a refund from Bookbyte is becoming familiar with the return policy. The return policy states:

  1. Bookbyte guarantees all text books 100%.
  2. You can return a text book with no hassle or questions asked within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. CDs, DVDs, software and video games also carry a 14-day money-back guarantee if they are returned unopened and unused.
  3. If the error is on the part of Bookbyte, you qualify for a prepaid shipping label. If you do not qualify for a free shipping label, the return fee is a flat rate of $5.95.

Return/Refund Steps

When you have been overcharged for a purchase from Bookbyte, and you are within the 14-day window, simply return the item(s) for a refund. To return the item(s) follow these steps:

  1. Open Bookbyte in your computer browser.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Select the overcharged item.
  4. Indicate the reason you are returning the item (in this case due to a misquoted or over-inflated price).
  5. Print the return label.
  6. Box the item and affix the label to it.
  7. Ship the item from your home or local post office.
  8. Once the item arrives at Bookbyte, you will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.

If it has been more than 14 days, or you will be charged a return fee and feel this is in error, you can contact Bookbyte customer support here and speak with a representative. When talking to the representative, provide your name, order number and the reason you are requesting a refund (either by returning the item or requesting a refund of the difference between the price of the item and the amount overcharged).

Bookbyte works to make sure customers get the best products at the best price. If you have been overcharged and want to return your item, you can start the process through your online account. For more information and assistance, contact Bookbyte customer service here.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Bookbyte Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
