If you purchase something from Audible and realize afterward that you meant to get something else, you can most likely return your purchase for a refund through Audible's generous return policy. Keep on reading to learn more.

Audible's Return Policy

You can return anything you purchase from Audible as long as you make the return within 365 days of purchase. However, Audible monitors returns for any signs of customers abusing the policy. If somebody makes frequent returns after keeping the product and listening to it for a long while, or makes a lot of returns at once, or makes too many returns, the company might refuse any further returns. Customers who let their memberships lapse or cancel them cannot make any returns. Furthermore, Audible reserves the right to change or even cancel the terms of its return policy at any time.

Making a Return to Audible

To return a purchase to Audible, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Audible's site.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Go to the Purchase History page.
  4. Find the audiobook or podcast that you want to return.
  5. If you're on a mobile device, tap on the book and then on Return This Title. On a desktop or laptop, click on the Return This Title button next to the applicable title.
  6. From the menu, select the reason you are making the return.
  7. Tap or click on Return.

If your return is accepted, you receive a refund in the same kind of payment you used to make the purchase. For a credit or debit card, the return can take up to 10 business days to process. If you're returning multiple items, each item will be processed as a separate return and you'll receive separate refunds.

Contacting Audible

If you have any questions about your return or refund, or if you need any help, you can get it from an Audible customer service representative. You can contact one via email, chat, help forum, or phone.
