How Do I Add Other People to My AT&T U-Verse Account?

In a nutshell: If you have AT&T internet services and also have a family, you can easily combine a large, messy assortment of separate accounts and bills into a single, more easily managed one by creating subaccounts on your existing AT&T internet account. Introduction

If you have AT&T internet services and also have a family, you can easily combine a large, messy assortment of separate accounts and bills into a single, more easily managed one by creating subaccounts on your existing AT&T internet account. This puts everyone on your account and allows you to deal with only one bill, as well as manage minors' accounts. The process to create these subaccounts is not complicated.

What You'll Need

You can create up to 20 distinct subaccounts with their own email addresses at no cost with your AT&T internet account. However, only 10 of these subaccounts can be active at any one time. If you have 10 active subaccounts and want to add someone new, you must first disable one of the existing active subaccounts before you will be allowed to do that.Once you create a subaccount, you can never delete it. However, you can disable it if you need to.There will be extra steps you need to take during subaccount creation for any subaccount intended for somebody under the age of 18. You will be given instructions when actually creating the subaccount. To disable a subaccount, or to enable it again later, go to your account profile, select "Settings," scroll down to the subaccounts setting, then click on the checkbox for the subaccount that you want to either disable or enable. The user for that subaccou8nt will no longer be able to sign in.It is also possible to add multiple AT&T accounts to your AT&T user ID. However, this will not allow you to bundle the service for all of them together, or to pay all the bills for all the accounts as one bill. All this does is let you view all the accounts with a single user ID and password. Once you have linked accounts in this way, you cannot unlink them again in the future.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for AT&T Internet Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
