I am experiencing difficulties with my business page on Yelp. I operate Green Environment Landscaping & Snow Inc in Providence, RI. The phone number listed is [redacted]. There is a negative review from a client who never actually received any services, and Yelp has chosen to recommend this inaccurate and unfair review. Conversely, a long-time client of over ten years left a positive review, but Yelp is not recommending it. I pay Yelp $75.00 monthly for page upgrades, yet it seems that negative and misleading reviews are being highlighted while positive ones are being overlooked. If this is Yelp's standard procedure, I would like a refund of the fees I have paid over the past year and for my page to be closed. I cannot justify paying Yelp over a thousand dollars annually if they do not protect me when faced with dishonest reviews. I kindly request that Yelp either showcase the review from my loyal client, Dartmouth Towings, or proceed with closing my page and issuing a refund. Thank you, Don, Green Environment Landscaping Inc.

I recently found our Yelp listing and would like to update the information to reflect our presence. I am from Cobbler's Corner, a shoe repair shop in Denver. We recently received a negative review on Yelp from a woman who made false accusations about the owner and promoted our competitor, Dardanos. The review seems to violate Yelp's policies on defamation and promoting other businesses. This individual did not conduct any business with us but still left a damaging review due to a perceived slight. Another account customer, Sole Box, also faced similar unjust criticism from the same person. It is evident from her erratic behavior that she may be struggling with mental health issues. We are concerned about the impact of these reviews on our business. Is there anything that can be done to address this situation?

I received a review from Marin Z. in Santa Fe, NM, which I would like to have removed. Marin Z. gave us a 1.0-star rating on 4/11/[redacted], expressing dissatisfaction with our services. We believe this review does not accurately reflect the quality of our work. Thank you.

I met with a customer named Greg at [redacted] Williamsburg Drive in Schaumburg for a free estimate. After providing him with an estimate, he chose my company even though he had other companies coming. However, he misunderstood the meeting time I gave him. Despite not having a signed contract or start date, Greg decided not to hire my company and posted a negative and false review. I believe he did this because I didn't reply to his messages promptly. He ended up hiring a more expensive company. I request that the review be taken down as I never started the work or had a signed agreement with him, and his review contains inaccurate information.

I recently asked for a review to be removed from my business page (Southern BBQ in Florence, AL). It was flagged as "not recommended," along with most of my other positive reviews. A loyal customer who left us a review on Yelp informed me that it was no longer visible on our page. Out of our 6 reviews, 4 are not recommended. As a small, growing business, each review is crucial for our image and success. Could we address why these reviews are being hidden and ensure this won't happen in the future?

I recently had six client reviews on my business page, all of which have been removed. I kindly request for them to be reinstated as they were genuine reviews from actual clients I have records for. I had to terminate my advertising with Yelp due to this issue, which has negatively impacted my chances of attracting new business. The reviews were not fake and it was disheartening to see them disappear after putting in effort to set up my account, start advertising, and showcase pictures of satisfied clients. While I understand the restrictions on receiving multiple reviews within a short period, having my clients provide their honest feedback is crucial for my business's reputation. I have been operating since September [redacted].

Portland, Maine is quickly becoming a hub for food enthusiasts on the eastern coast. The city boasts a variety of seafood and ethnic fusion cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. New establishments like breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, The Buxton Common owned by Chef Max Brody, Silly's, Silly's with a Twist, and The Holy Donut are popping up in the city and surrounding suburbs. Despite their quality, these places lack recognition on Yelp. I believe your company could help bridge this gap and would be excited to be a part of that initiative. I currently work as an Administrative Assistant at a Free Health Center, but due to the state's Medicaid expansion, the center will close in September. I am passionate about cooking, dining out, and reviewing new eateries and businesses.

Hello, I am inquiring about my order from Dino's that was not delivered and no refund has been issued. I would like to address this issue with order number [redacted]. The food never arrived, and I was unaware of being charged all this time until today. Due to a previous incident where a refund took a month to process, I am requesting the refund be issued as a credit to my account. I would appreciate an update on the status of this request. It is quite inconvenient to contact your team for refund-related concerns. Dealing with the non-delivery of my order and the incorrect charge has been troublesome. I am looking forward to a positive response and urge for a swift resolution in issuing the credit, as it has been delayed. Thank you for your timely attention to this matter.

I recently contacted Yelp regarding reviews hidden for Aliso Viejo Self Storage due to Yelp's algorithm that filters out reviews without user pictures, prior reviews, or Yelp friends. Upon examining the reviews, I noticed some reviewers like Trina H, Irene B, James J, Joey, Ahmet, and Julius L had pictures, friends, and reviews for the storage facility. It appears that despite displaying a Yelp poster last year, positive reviews were hidden, while negative ones, some over 2 years old, were showcased. It seems the algorithm favors old negative reviews over recent positive ones from tenants. Hopefully, a Yelp representative can review this matter as it's disheartening to see the algorithm highlighting old negative reviews over recent positive feedback from satisfied tenants.

I was recently advised by a Yelp representative to invest in their advertising services even though I had no reviews yet. Despite being promised $[redacted] a month free advertising for 6 months, I haven't received any customers from Yelp. I only had two customers so far, one of whom was a personal contact. I was not informed about the requirement to pay at least $[redacted] a month for the advertising package. My mentor believes I was misled and pressured into a deal that sounded too good to be true. I feel I need to focus on building reviews and establishing my new business before investing in advertising. I would like a refund as the sales tactics seemed misleading. I will consider advertising in the future when my business is more established and has reviews to attract customers.

Hello, I am writing to discuss my experience with increasing positive reviews for our new branch of "Natura Bowl." Recently, as I monitored our Yelp page for feedback, I noticed that certain reviews were disappearing, including ones from authentic customers, friends of mine included. These reviews provided valuable tips and positive comments, ultimately contributing to our increasing star rating. I was disheartened by this occurrence as it did not accurately represent the positive customer experiences we had earned. It seems these reviews were possibly removed under suspicion of being fake, but I can vouch for their legitimacy. I am eager to understand why this is happening and explore options for restoring these reviews to showcase our store more accurately. Maintaining a positive reputation on Yelp is essential for our business, and I hope to resolve this issue promptly. Thank you.

I had an unpleasant experience at an event called Y2K in Ft Lauderdale yesterday. The event was advertised as free with a "suggested" $20 donation. However, upon arrival, we were asked to pay $40 for both my husband and me to enter. When I explained that it was a suggested donation, not mandatory, we were told to pay $40 or leave. Despite wanting to make a donation, we were not allowed to enter. This situation was particularly inconvenient since we live 18 miles away, and my husband needed to sit due to his bad back. Even though we remained calm and polite, we were denied entry. The security guard was more understanding and allowed my husband to sit outside while I made phone calls, but the person at the door insisted we could not enter no matter what. This experience was very disappointing and should be addressed. I believe there was a significant misunderstanding between the terms "suggested" and "required." I am considering leaving a review on Yelp to share my experience. An apology or an invitation to another event would be appreciated to resolve this issue.

I have reached out to Yelp through email and their online platform several times. It has been well over one business day, and I have not received a response yet. I am seeking a refund as the deal I purchased did not provide an option to create a gift certificate with the recipient's name; instead, it displayed my name. I attempted to contact the provided phone number, but the representative directed me to email [redacted], which I have already done.

My honest review was unexpectedly deleted without explanation. I added more details in a follow-up review while maintaining a factual and respectful tone, yet it was also removed. I'm puzzled because other vague reviews for my business were allowed to stay. I hope my feedback can be considered valid, especially since all my positive reviews were accepted by YELP without issues.

I am reaching out to address a false review posted by a customer we chose not to do business with. The individual, Rich H. from Folsom, CA, attempted to extort $11,[redacted] from us, leading us to decline working with him. Despite this, he proceeded to post inaccurate information on Yelp. Prior to the incident, we had addressed his queries about the contract, explaining that coping, or the pool edge, was not part of the pool contract but would be included in his deck proposal from JLC, his concrete contractor. When he demanded a significant discount close to the signing date, we saw through his ploy and decided not to proceed with his project. We are now requesting Yelp to remove the fabricated review and may resort to legal action if necessary. We are open to providing further details for clarification. Our company, Advanced Pools in Rancho Cordova, CA, is committed to fair business practices and values our reputation. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Jade B.

I am puzzled by the continuous placement of my positive reviews in Yelp's "un-recommended" section despite receiving great feedback. Conversely, a negative review from a non-client remains prominently displayed for months. There appears to be an issue with Yelp's unbiased review system. I would appreciate it if a supervisor could reach out to me to address this frustrating problem. Additionally, Yelp has added an "get an estimate" button on the contact page. However, in the construction industry, providing an accurate estimate requires a visit to the client's property. Many clients find this feature challenging. It seems Yelp's software updates were not considerate of various business needs. The current system is flawed, and it's time for Yelp to adapt to better serve diverse businesses. Despite my recent phone call with Yelp, where I was informed that employees can't solve this issue due to guidelines, this remains a significant problem that Yelp must rectify. -Jay B.

I have recently received great reviews that Yelp's software is burying, while pushing a negative review to the top. It seems Yelp is not considering what business users like or dislike about their platform. The response that "We can't do anything about this" is frustrating, as someone at Yelp created the software and it's time for an upgrade to identify false reviews. Having focus groups for different industries could help in tailoring questions to specific businesses, instead of generalized ones. For instance, requesting a contracting business to provide a quote by email without seeing the project site is impractical. It's clear that Yelp needs to focus more on businesses' needs in their system. Sincerely, JB.

I would like to retract my review for Barnum Murphy Inc. that I posted on June 24 regarding the installation of a $[redacted] hot water heater. Upon arriving home from work the next afternoon, water was found around the heater. The company claimed it was a pipe behind the heater leaking condensation from the air conditioner. I am hesitant to leave a negative review until the situation is fully understood. However, I want to remove my positive feedback as it might mislead other or potential customers in the future.
