I had a disappointing experience with a client of yours, "The Computer Clinic" in Bloomington, Indiana. I purchased a new computer from them, but encountered ongoing issues that they couldn't resolve. Eventually, they asked me not to return. To resolve the situation, I contacted DELL and discovered that the computer I received was previously used, not refurbished, and registered to someone else. When I tried to leave a review on Yelp to warn others, I found out that only 4 or 5-star ratings are allowed. This restriction doesn't align with the purpose of ratings, especially when there's a legitimate concern to address.

Hello! I'm inquiring about the disappearance of our business reviews on Yelp. We operate Nadima Gemstone Jewelry in Boulder. Recently, customers have mentioned the absence of reviews on our Yelp page, which came as a surprise as we had genuine reviews from satisfied customers. These reviews seem to have been moved to the "not recommended" section. Despite being in operation for just over a year, cultivating reviews has been a significant achievement for us. I am seeking assistance in understanding why this shift occurred and how we can address this issue. Your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Removing my comments implies that individuals with disabilities are not valued. Is my input not important to you? Towing is a service industry, and the treatment of handicapped individuals reflects the quality of service provided. Will my feedback not be relevant to those with disabled family members? Deleting my post may lead to social media backlash, highlighting Yelp's lack of support for the disabled and endorsement of companies that discriminate. I will seek coverage from local news outlets to expose Yelp's discrimination against disabled individuals. Let's see the negative publicity generated and whether it was wise to align with such a company.
Respectfully,
R.R.

I am Kurtis P., a business owner and entrepreneur with 25 years of experience. My current corporation has been running for nearly 6 years, receiving positive 5-star reviews online, particularly on Yelp and Home Advisor. While I work as a General Contractor, obtaining reviews due to the nature of my projects can be challenging. Despite initially declining Yelp's advertising offers, I observed some of my positive reviews being moved to "Not currently recommended" after some time. I contacted Yelp about this issue, but unfortunately, my complaints were not addressed satisfactorily. Recently, I received a false and defamatory review from someone in San Francisco, claiming I engaged in inappropriate behavior. Despite my efforts to dispute it, Yelp has chosen not to remove it, citing their guidelines. I've faced difficulties in contacting them further due to error messages. I feel targeted and harassed by Yelp's actions and lack of response, considering the misinformation present in the review. I am considering escalating this matter to relevant authorities for resolution. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kurtis P.

Regarding Case #[redacted],
I am disappointed that my review was removed as it accurately depicted my experience at Bloom Hair Salon in Dallas, GA, owned by Brittany Sarty. She lacked a Georgia business license, which the Secretary of State confirmed through documentation from their website. I highlighted these details to warn others about the harm caused by this establishment. The salon employed three unlicensed individuals, and I am pursuing legal action due to the owner's aggressive behavior towards me. The Georgia Secretary of State and Board of Cosmetology are investigating the illicit practices at the salon. I have evidence of the damage done to my hair and can provide my attorney's contact information upon request. It is disheartening that my hair loss continues, affecting me emotionally. A specialist mentioned it as one of the worst cases in their career. I eagerly await the reinstatement of my review to prevent others from facing similar consequences. Thank you, Risa Sams.

I am experiencing issues with my reviews being removed from the Family Medical Center in Griffin, Georgia. My review is based on factual content. Here is a copy of it:
After changing my BP medication, my blood pressure spiked with the new meds. I requested Family Medical to switch me back to my previous medication, but they refused. They demanded I return for a visit. I explained that I couldn't afford a visit immediately, yet needed help with my high BP. The next day, they sent a certified letter stating they would no longer treat me, claiming non-compliance. I possess emails from the online patient portal that show communication on my part. They insisted on office visit fees, which I could not afford. They labeled this as "medical non-compliance". I advise avoiding this facility due to my negative experiences there.

I noticed a drop in our Yelp reviews from 15-20 to just 8, despite all being recommended in the past. Strangely, this decline occurred after we started Yelp paid ads. Despite my attempts to address this with Yelp, there has been no resolution. I believe our reviews are genuine and not impacted by Yelp's algorithms. I kindly request a thorough review of our account and ask for a supervisor to reach out to me. We have halted our paid Yelp ads until this issue is sorted out.

Subject: Review Removal Notification
I am disappointed with the decision made regarding my review of Shade Tree Lawn & Landscaping. It seems that my feedback was not deemed clear enough to show my firsthand experience as a customer.
The interaction I had with the company left much to be desired. There was a lack of clarity on what was required, leading to unwanted work being done on my property. When I tried to provide feedback, I encountered unhelpful responses from the company.
I believe that removing my review diminishes the value of your platform and its credibility. It is essential that customers are able to share their genuine experiences without restrictions.
Sincerely,
A Dissatisfied Yelp User

I work with child sexual abuse victims. This review is false and can be found on various other websites. It does not pertain to any individual I have treated but instead involves a relative of a convicted child sexual predator I testified against in Utah. The photo evidence provided is from a dissenting opinion and does not accurately reflect the case outcomes. I have never lost my license or faced malpractice issues in my 40 years of practice. I am accredited and hold an active license with DOPL. Complaints against me have been dismissed by DOPL. The photo article referenced is outdated and does not show the final outcome of the investigations. Please remove this misleading review.

Hello,
I operated a business with you for over 2 years, consistently paying around $[redacted] per month. After establishing a strong reputation with [redacted] reviews over the years, my business was unexpectedly deleted without any explanation. It appears this action may be linked to me having three additional small accounts due to a past partnership where someone wanted to collaborate with me. I sought permission from your team to open these accounts, and I have documented emails showing an employee from your company initiated the openings on my behalf, providing evidence of our communication. I am perplexed by the sudden closure and seek clarification as this disruption has impacted my ability to cover expenses, especially during tax season. I possess numerous emails that validate my account activity, emphasizing the importance of reinstating my business presence on your platform. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I recently received an email from Yelp about the removal of one of my reviews. I visited multiple gas stations mentioned in my reviews, only to find out that none of them had a bathroom available for customers. It's frustrating not to be able to find a restroom during a long commute. I wish to appeal the decision to remove my reviews:
I was informed that my review for Arco and another business was taken down due to being posted on multiple business pages. It's suggested to share experiences on the specific business page related to the location of the experience. Reviews are expected to reflect genuine firsthand customer experiences and not secondary experiences or business-related complaints.
The removed review stated, "No restroom. I don't support gas stations without a restroom. I'll pump gas somewhere else."

To the Yelp Business Advertising Manager,
I had a conversation with one of your sales representatives, Joel, today. He started off well but as his pitch progressed, my concerns about the Yelp service area policy became apparent. Serving clients in a [redacted]-[redacted] mile radius, I find the restricted service area challenging. Joel tried to rush me into signing up for the ad program despite my reservations. I suggested an immediate area expansion, but he couldn't oblige. I concluded the call after declining to provide my credit card information.
I appreciate a chance to try Yelp with the $[redacted] advertising credit offered at $10/day for a month to assess its viability for Historic Archaeological Research. I prefer not to deal with Joel further due to his pushy sales approach, resembling a poor used car salesman. I look forward to exploring Yelp's potential under my unique circumstances.
Sincerely,
Rich Green

I am reaching out on behalf of Sign Solutions of East Atlanta, where I am Ashley Clotfelter, to address a concerning issue. We have a Yelp! page, and recently, we have experienced persistent and rude behavior from an individual identified as Alex, calling from "New York, New York." Despite numerous requests to cease contact and reaching out to Yelp! for assistance, Alex's behavior has continued. Our owner has clearly expressed disinterest in sponsored advertisements on Yelp!, yet Alex disregards this information. During today's call, Alex was condescending and unrelenting, ignoring our need to conclude the conversation promptly due to a busy workday. It is clear that Alex lacks the professionalism and respect that we expect in a business interaction. Our previous contact, "Marisa," exhibited excellent communication skills, making this experience even more disappointing. We kindly request that Alex refrain from contacting our company in the future, as his approach is detrimental and counterproductive to our business relationship.

I frequently use Yelp to find businesses and restaurants. Recently, some reviews at my church, PazNaz - Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, CA, written by members like myself, were mysteriously moved to the "not recommended" section. The reviews by Robin S., Lindsay A., and Kim T. were insightful and helpful, yet they were excluded. These individuals, not affiliated with the church staff or leadership, simply shared their experiences to benefit others. I'm puzzled by this change and seek a way to have these reviews reinstated for others to view easily.

My review regarding Namaste Health Center in Durango, Colorado was recently taken down by Yelp as they assumed I did not have personal experience with the center. I have extensively researched the practices offered by Namaste. My late friend battling ovarian cancer had considered Namaste's services. My previous review straightforwardly stated, "Offers unvalidated and dubious fringe practices to the public," which is a factual statement. Namaste provides mistletoe extract and homeopathics as potential cancer treatments, despite these products lacking FDA approval for such use and their importation being illegal in the U.S., except for experimental purposes. I urge Yelp to reinstate my review in the interest of public awareness. Thank you for your consideration.

I am deeply concerned about false and malicious reviews that have been posted on multiple social media platforms, claiming I engaged in criminal behavior and should not be trusted. As an operator under the Structural Pest Control Board, I have passed background checks from the Department of Justice and have no criminal record. These reviews are misleading and damaging to my reputation and business. Other platforms like Google and Thumbtack have promptly removed the untrue reviews, but Yelp has been slower to act. The repeated nature of these reviews and the quick posting followed by positive reviews from the same account suggest a deliberate attempt to harm my business. I urge Yelp to review and remove these false statements in line with their anti-harassment policies to prevent further emotional distress and harm to my business. Providing evidence such as receipts or communication logs should be required to make such damaging accusations.

Hello Yelp community,
I've dedicated 35 years to wedding photography, turning my passion into a full-time profession. The support I received from past clients who left heartfelt reviews on WEDDING WIRE.com and THE KNOT.com played a pivotal role in my success. I proudly received the Couple's Choice Wedding Award in [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted], signifying the quality of my service.
However, I have concerns regarding Yelp's review filtering system. Despite having eleven 5-star reviews from clients who signed wedding contracts and praised my work, they were marked as "not recommended." On the contrary, two 1-star reviews and one 5-star review were displayed prominently. I believe my true average rating should reflect the overall positive sentiment from my clients, aligning closely with my scores on Wedding Wire (4.7) and The Knot (4.5). Maintaining transparency, I have documented this discrepancy with screenshots of my Yelp business page. I eagerly await your feedback.
Sincerely,
Paul, Owner of AVR

When interacting with businesses, it's crucial to consider expectations, customer service, communication, and trust. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Yelp, Eat 24, and Grubhub fell short on all fronts. This morning, I placed an order through their platform to be ready at 8:15 am at Cafe Gourmet. Despite the app indicating my order was prepared, the restaurant had not received it upon my arrival. After an additional 30-minute delay, I finally received my food. This recurring issue of miscommunication between platforms is highly frustrating. Despite reaching out to customer service, my problem remains unresolved. Moving forward, I will personally contact the restaurant to ensure the accuracy of my orders. It's disappointing to have wasted time and effort attempting to address this issue with unresponsive customer service.

I recently purchased a service dog registration from "Lucky Service Dog" and was disappointed with what I received. The advertisement mentioned a printed and digital certificate, but all I got was a printed certificate and a picture of a dog ID badge on a phone. When I contacted the owner, Scott, to inquire about the ID badge, he mentioned it was an upgrade requiring extra payment. I received another copy of the certificate in the mail but no dog ID badge as promised. When I reached out to the company, Scott offered me a discount on the upgrade but insisted the ad was not misleading. I believe this is a scam and want to warn others by posting a review on Yelp. Thank you.

I recently wrote a review about a contractor who didn't follow through on contacting me as promised. Subsequently, he reached out via email, claiming to have lost my contact information, and requested a discussion about the issue. Due to his failure to keep his word, I decided against engaging with him further. In response, he has threatened to manipulate reviews for a hair salon where I had given a positive rating, unless I delete my honest review by 5 p.m. on 3/21. He has warned that failing to comply will result in negative consequences for both the salon and any future dealings I have with contractors. I possess text messages from him confirming these troubling statements. He has also mentioned sending my reviews to Yelp to have my account banned without notice. I would appreciate it if someone could review our exchanges and provide feedback on my actions. Expressing my viewpoint shouldn't justify his intimidation tactics towards me or the businesses I support. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
