This is my fourth attempt to get in touch. I have sent emails to "webmaster@weil-mclain" and just recently to "[redacted]" On September 11, [redacted], I had a Weil-McLain GV90+5 installed in Speculator, NY, by local contractors in Northville, NY, Allen and Palmer. The boiler cost around $8,[redacted]. On April 10, [redacted], after 2 1/2 years, we discovered an issue with glycol leaking. Allen and Palmer said we needed a new boiler under warranty. They charged me $[redacted].19, citing that labor was not covered under the warranty. I find this unfair. I expect a refund as a resolution to this matter. I've been trying to reach out through various channels with no luck. I can be contacted at [redacted] or [redacted]. Glenn Naevestad.

In [redacted], we had a house built, and I chose a Weil Mclain hot water boiler. Having never had a boiler before, I wasn't sure how well it would work. Unfortunately, each winter the house struggled to stay warm when the temperature dropped below 20 degrees. Despite being told by one person that this was normal, the issue worsened over the years. Upon consulting with another technician, it was suggested that the motherboard could be the culprit. After its replacement, the problem seemed to be resolved. However, I realized the motherboard was likely defective from the start as the issue persisted since we moved in during the first winter. The boiler is now out of warranty, and I am wondering if there is any way to have it covered. Thank you for your attention. - G.M.

I am experiencing issues with my HE-4 boiler. The problem I am facing is that at times the thermostat is calling for heat, but the boiler does not fire up. I have noticed that even when I increased the high limit temperature above [redacted], the boiler did not respond. On occasions when the boiler does ignite, the temperature reaches [redacted], while the high limit is at [redacted], and then rises to [redacted]. Furthermore, if the boiler temperature is at [redacted] and the thermostat activates, switching the boiler off and then on causes the boiler to start momentarily before shutting off. I am uncertain if this is due to misleading readings from the aquastat or a faulty relay. Additionally, sometimes the circulator remains off when the boiler temperature hits [redacted].

I'm seeking guidance on how to properly adjust my Weil McLain EVG [redacted] mod/con gas boiler settings. The manuals lack detailed explanations, leaving technicians unsure of adjustments needed for individual home requirements. I am interested in online training or better resources for programming the boilers. Clear information on all program settings and their impact on efficiency is crucial for accurate adjustments to suit the home's needs. Currently, I'm unsure about some settings and would appreciate assistance in ensuring the unit is correctly configured. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am looking to optimize the settings on a Weil McLain EVG [redacted] mod/con gas boiler. Unfortunately, the standard and advanced manuals fall short in providing a clear explanation of the settings, leaving much to interpretation for technicians tuning the unit to meet specific home requirements. I am seeking online training or a more thorough explanation of the programming options for these boilers. A detailed guide elaborating on all the program settings and their impact on the efficiency of the mod/con boilers would greatly assist in accurately setting the heater to suit the home's needs. Currently, I am making educated guesses on some settings and would appreciate guidance to ensure proper calibration. Can anyone offer assistance with this matter?

I recently had an Aqua Plus 55 Pewter and GVDC90+5 installed on Jan 7th, [redacted]. We decided to replace our old Weil McLain units because the flue was located near the front door under the overhang, and a plastic pipe carrying carbon monoxide was recalled for safety reasons due to cracking from heat exposure over time.
The new installation positioned the flue next to our outdoor dining table, near sliding glass doors and windows frequently opened, causing smoke from the heat to drift towards our kitchen window and doors. We are worried about the plastic PVC 40 piping used for carbon monoxide, as it may sag and crack from prolonged heat exposure, unlike GPVC which can withstand higher temperatures.
The installing company claims PVC 40 and the outdoor flue placement are up to code and necessary. I am seeking confirmation if these methods are approved by the manufacturer or code regulations. I can provide photos upon request. Thank you,

I recently installed a Weil Mclain wall mount gas boiler with a Honeywell Abm08 control in the fall of [redacted]. It was working perfectly until two weeks ago. The fan starts, I've checked the 24-volt system, and the circuit from the relay is functioning. The low water is set at 18 lb. When I power on the unit, the fan starts but displays error code 04, which changes to c u when I press the reset button. Sometimes, I see two short hyphens or 00. I find it hard to test the safety switches without test points. The troubleshooting sheet doesn't match the codes on the screen. I'm wondering about the air switch on the fan with 4 wires. The unit runs for hours without shutting down. There seems to be no voltage to the water pressure switch wire. This is frustrating, and my customer is unhappy. I also installed temporary electric heat. I need help urgently. Thank you.
