Dear Tencent, I am facing issues with my WeChat account with the ID xcr980219. I have noticed a leak of my personal information and encountered troubles with it. Unfortunately, I am unable to change the account details and struggling to find real customer service assistance. Consequently, I had to create a new account, xue_chen_rui, to address this concern. However, I am unable to transfer my friends from the old account to the new one without notifying them, which I wish to avoid to prevent any misunderstandings. I attempted to solve this by becoming a Platinum member of LiCaiTong and reaching out to VIP customer service, only to be informed that it is not within their scope of support. Feeling disappointed by Tencent's service, I am now considering contacting WeChat international for assistance. I kindly request the following: 1. Replace xue_chen_rui with xcr980219 as the WeChat ID for my old account without notifying my friends. 2. Reset the ID for the new account to enable me to change it. I received a notification about suspicious account behavior on WeChat. They are asking me to verify my identity through another WeChat user. However, I believe the report was triggered because I sent greetings to new people. Isn't greeting others a common practice to interact and make new connections? How can I confirm this issue when the report was based on greetings sent to a girl I barely know? Now, to regain access, WeChat is requesting the phone numbers of my contacts. I don't usually exchange phone numbers on this platform for security reasons. How can I resolve this and regain access if I don't have phone numbers of my contacts on WeChat?

Dear Team, I have been using your application for the past 4 to 5 years, and it has been very useful to me. Many of my friends also use this same application for our daily conversations, which is very convenient. I even use it for work at my multinational company where my colleagues, including those in my office outside of India, also use it for work-related chats. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding, some of my friends have blocked me. I sincerely apologize if I have unknowingly hurt anyone's feelings. I really don't intend to offend anyone. As a result, I'm unable to access my account and ID. I kindly request you to unblock my account and allow me to use the same ID again. This would be extremely helpful to me. My user ID is krunal2709. I recently connected with individuals online who shared their WeChat ID. After sending them a friend request, my account got blocked due to alleged harassment. To unlock it, I am asked for a friend's phone number who has used WeChat for over 6 months - a challenge since I'm new and my contacts are as well. I believe it's unfair to be blocked without warning, especially when reaching out to those who openly shared their accounts. I'm unfamiliar with WeChat's policy on adding "strangers" and have never encountered such issues on other platforms. I seek alternatives to regain access and would appreciate any assistance on unlocking my account.

Hello, it has been quite some time since I reached out regarding an issue with my WeChat account. I have encountered difficulties withdrawing funds from my WeChat wallet using a foreign bank card as it only accepts Chinese bank cards. Moreover, my WeChat account got locked down without a clear reason, which complicates accessing the remaining funds. The phone number associated with my account is no longer in use, making it challenging to verify my identity on a new device. Despite various attempts, I am unable to access my account normally. I am willing to provide any necessary information to prove ownership of the account. I hope for a prompt response to resolve this matter and retrieve the funds in my account. I registered my Wechat account in [redacted] and linked my China bankcard to it, frequently using my Wechat wallet with my password. Last year, I updated my passport with the bank but not with Wechat. While staying abroad for an extended period, I forgot my Wechat wallet password. Efforts to reset the password failed due to Wechat having my old passport number instead of the updated one held by the bank. I have been unable to reach live customer support for help. Currently, there is over 2,[redacted] rmb in my Wechat wallet that I cannot access. I simply wish to have the funds returned to my bank and will switch to using AliPay moving forward. I will continue to use Wechat for communication but will avoid its financial services due to this issue.

My WeChat account was registered in [redacted] with my China bankcard linked to it. I had been using it regularly until I updated my passport last year, which was reflected by the bank but not on WeChat. Recently, during a longer stay outside China, I forgot my WeChat wallet password. Unfortunately, I couldn't reset it as the bank has my new passport number while WeChat has the old one. I've tried reaching out to customer service without success. There's currently over 2,[redacted] RMB stuck in my WeChat wallet that I can't access. I simply want the funds returned to the bank, and I will switch to using AliPay moving forward. I'll continue using WeChat for other purposes, but due to this issue, I won't be using its financial services.

Despite multiple attempts with various user accounts, I am unable to resolve this through the provided instructions. I have forgotten the password for my account and I am no longer in China to access the phone number associated with it. Despite reaching out to WeChat for over a month, I have not received any assistance. With plans to travel to China soon and money in the account, it is crucial to regain access for daily use. I can provide the necessary information such as my details, registration date, last login date, linked mobile numbers, email address, friends' IDs, phone model used, nationality, workplace history, and even a receipt ID when the retrieval was unsuccessful. I relocated to Malaysia and changed my phone but am unable to remember the password to log in. There is a balance of about 50RMB in my WeChat account.

Hello, my name is Jason, and I reside in Michigan, USA. I am reaching out for assistance as I have been finding it challenging to stay in touch with friends I made from China during a vacation two years ago. I am feeling frustrated as I have spent significant amounts of money on chat sites just to communicate with them. I am wondering if I can use WeChat to connect with my friends in China by creating an account from the U.S. Are WeChat in the U.S. and WeChat in China the same? When I tried to set up WeChat on my phone, I encountered difficulty with the QR code process, and I am unsure how to proceed. I sent out WeChat invites to numerous people after seeing their job posts on The Beijinger. The posts mentioned contacting them through WeChat, which is why I reached out this way. I am unable to unblock my account since I do not have any other contacts on WeChat besides the ones I messaged for job opportunities. I only joined WeChat today solely for job-seeking purposes, and I do not have any other individuals in my contact list who use WeChat.

I am having trouble accessing my WeChat account on my tablet. The security settings have been enabled, and I am unable to receive the verification code as I do not have many friends linked to my account. My password is not being accepted, and even trying to log in with SMS verification leads me back to the security check. I still want to use my WeChat account, but I am currently locked out. I can't set up a new account with my phone number. My account name is rene186924.

Unfortunately, my Chinese friend isn’t available online to assist with the verification, and I’m unable to reach out to them. I recently received an SMS stating that a password recovery request for my WeChat ID JIMITORU was accepted, and a new password was provided: cf4******. However, I now have a different phone number: +[redacted]06, instead of the old one, +[redacted]77. I haven't used WeChat in a few years and just remembered about it lately. When I tried to log in, I discovered that my account was blocked. I'm unsure why this happened and really want to regain access to it. I'm a member of International Cupid, an international dating site where many users use WeChat to communicate. I'm eager to connect with them to establish meaningful relationships. However, the account recovery process requires me to seek help from a friend to unblock it, which poses a challenge as none of my friends in the USA use WeChat. I encountered an issue while setting up a new Taobao account that required linking a WeChat account for WeChat Pay. After successfully linking my Chinese debit card, my dad sent me money through red packets. Each packet could only send [redacted] yuan, so he sent two packets of [redacted] yuan and one of [redacted] yuan. Upon trying to open the second packet, I received an error message about suspicious account behavior. Shortly after, a service message notified me that my WeChat Pay was restricted due to perceived fraud risk. The message mentioned that the system flagged my transaction as a violation of rules, preventing others from making payments to me. I kindly request assistance in lifting the restriction on my WeChat Pay. Thank you.

I recently set up a WeChat account just two days ago. I haven't posted much, mainly chatting with one friend. Today, I tried to log in and found my account blocked, claiming I tried to create multiple accounts. The support site is supposed to provide a code for unblocking after entering my number and a captcha, but the link doesn't work. In the app, trying to recover with my phone number leads to a dead end with a message to validate the account with the number but no option to proceed. I'm unable to access my account, stuck in this loop.

I am looking to update my WeChat mobile number. I previously downloaded WeChat before moving to China and now that I am residing here, I have a new Chinese mobile number. However, I am encountering an error message stating, "Due to local regulations, you are unable to change your number." My old number is +[redacted]3, and the new number I am trying to link to my account is [redacted]6. I aim to connect my new number to WeChat to enable WeChat Pay linked to my Chinese bank account. Hello! I am having difficulty logging into my WeChat account that I created a while back. I have my WeChat ID and email address but I cannot recall my password. I have attempted to reset my password by clicking on 'unable to log in' and following the steps to reset it via email multiple times, but I have not received any notifications. I am unable to use my phone number for logging in as it is an old number. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter or if it is possible, to delete my account due to the private content I have on the account.
