I attempted to make a purchase using my vanilla gift card at Captain D’s last night for $31. I had $32 remaining on my card. Even though I entered the correct CVV number, the transaction did not go through online. I had to contact Captain D’s to finalize my order. When I tried to use the card in person at Captain D’s, it was declined, and I had to pay with cash. Despite this, my gift card balance shows that the full amount was deducted. I am requesting a prompt refund of the missing funds. Thank you.

Last night, I attempted to use my gift card at Captain D’s. I had a total of $32 on the card, and my order came out to $30. Despite having sufficient funds, the transaction displayed an error regarding my CVV, which I confirmed was correct. Therefore, I had to pay cash at the restaurant due to these card issues. However, the $30 was still deducted from my gift card. I kindly request a refund of this amount. Thank you.

I am having trouble using my Vanilla Visa debit card on Amazon. I entered the 16-digit number on the back as well as the number to the left of the barcode, but it did not work. The card does not have a number on the front, only an expiration date of 02/31, even though it claims to have no expiration date. I am unsure if there is a specific gift code I should be entering. I received this card from a colleague, and I am starting to question if it might be a scam. Where can I find the gift card code on the Vanilla Visa Debit card? I have had difficulty using gift codes in the past, only promotional numbers seem to work. Is this service free? Please clarify before responding.

On Friday, January 28th, I bought two $[redacted].00 gift cards at Walmart in Clayton, NC. I always take photos of the cards and receipts when I purchase gift cards, and I was sending them as gifts to two different individuals. I usually verify the balance on the cards before sending them out. On Saturday, January 29th, around 2:40 pm, I called the number on the back of the cards to check the balance before mailing them and found out both cards had a zero balance. I contacted customer support right away and spoke with a representative. She mentioned that one of the cards had a denied transaction attempt on January 28th for a clothing purchase from an online store in New Jersey. She shared a reference number [redacted] and requested me to reach out to the merchant. I completed the paperwork sent to me and got in touch with customer service on Monday. I will continue to follow up with Vanilla regarding the status of my gift cards. I am concerned about the security breach and have contacted my bank about the issue. I would appreciate an update as I'm eager to resolve this matter.

I bought a $50.00 gift card for my daughter in Columbus, Ohio. Unfortunately, when she tried to use it, she discovered that the card had been hacked and used at Ralph's in California. VG Customer Service couldn't assist me when I contacted them. I shared a screenshot of the card balance my daughter sent me, but I don't have an order number. It seems that without this number, Vanilla Gift cannot confirm any transaction with me. After reading several negative reviews about Vanilla Gift, I doubt I'll recover the money. I hope sharing this experience will prevent others from facing a similar situation. I won't consider using Vanilla Gift in the future.

I bought a $[redacted] gift card on 2/4/22. Yesterday, I got a call from [redacted] saying I won $52,[redacted] but needed to purchase a gift card to claim it. After checking online, I realized it was a scam. When I contacted Visa on 2/5, they found two charges totaling $[redacted].50 on my card. I was told to wait until 2/11 for them to investigate and cancel the charges. I've been unable to reach Visa using the customer service number on the card as it says the information is incorrect. Why can't I speak to a Visa representative, and why must I wait 5 days to report a proven fraud? I urgently need assistance and want to speak to someone at Visa. Please contact me at [redacted]. - Mary D.

I bought a $25 Vanilla Visa gift card for my 12-year-old son on February 11th. However, when he tried to use it, the card was declined on various websites and apps. Checking the balance online, it showed the card at $0 with a $25 transaction to BOTBOX INC on February 13th. My son did not make this purchase, and the card has not been used. I am unsure if the card was faulty or compromised. I am seeking a refund for the unused funds on the card or, alternatively, a refund to my credit card for the $25 spent on the gift card.

Hi there! I wanted to share my recent experience with a gift card issue. I misplaced the receipt for a transaction at Ross using my gift card ending in [redacted]. The card appeared to have problems when I contacted customer service today, showing as inactive. I mistakenly used the same card for a return at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, receiving credit of $[redacted].75. I now realize I should have used my Capital One Savor card. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Claudia Ivey

On my first visit to the USA, I hoped the Visa gift card would be convenient, but it led to disappointment. Despite paying $[redacted] on 02/04/22, my card showed no money and strange transactions I didn't authorize. Google Play and tinyhousestores.com charges baffled me. Seeking resolution since it happened again recently. Card number: [redacted][redacted] (expires 04/30).

I bought a Vanilla card for a cashless event in Long Beach, California. I made two small charges on it, leaving a $[redacted] balance. However, the third time I tried to use it, it was declined. When I attempted to check the balance online, I received an error. After returning home on Sunday, February 6th, I could finally view the balance, which had dropped to $0.99. Upon reviewing the charges, the first two were mine, but the next two were made on Sunday night at 9:15 p.m., a time when I was at home watching TV. The seven charges included two for $50 and five for $10, totaling $[redacted], all processed simultaneously. I couldn't have done this myself, especially knowingly in just 60 seconds. How can I dispute these charges associated with card number [redacted][redacted]? Thank you, Jodi N.

I attempted to buy $[redacted] worth of items on Amazon using two separate Vanilla gift cards when Amazon suddenly blocked my account due to suspected fraud. The following day, I discovered $[redacted] missing from one of the cards, spent at FanDuel Stardust Play Plus, and $59.49 gone from the second card, used on lacoste.com. After reaching out to all three companies, I was advised to contact Vanilla gift to resolve the issue. I have since filed a claim and am looking for a resolution.

I received a Vanilla gift card with a balance of $[redacted] on March 22, [redacted]. On the same day, I made seven purchases, reducing my balance to $[redacted]. When I checked my balance and transaction history online on March 23, everything seemed accurate. However, I've since been experiencing issues with my card showing as invalid when trying to make online transactions or check my balance both online and over the phone since late last night and today, March 24, [redacted]. I'm unsure why this is happening and would appreciate any help in resolving this matter.

I am uncertain about the recent changes in rules at CVS retail, but it seems that there is a need for more training for employees to inform customers about these changes. Perhaps it may be beneficial to centralize the sale of gift cards on a secure online platform to avoid any confusion. My recent experience at a CVS store trying to purchase gift cards was unpleasant as the staff was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. I usually purchase two $[redacted] gift cards to pay bills. CVS no longer sells One Vanilla cards and refused to sell Vanilla birthday gift cards. I would appreciate it if someone could email me details about the new rules for purchasing these cards.

I bought a Vanilla Gift Card for my sister and gave it to her last Saturday with $[redacted] on it. After she tried to use it, the card showed a charge from a Game Stop in Texas. I contacted customer service immediately and explained the situation. They mentioned the charge happened at 2:30pm, but I live in the Central time zone, and it was only about 1:45pm at my mother's house in Premont, TX. I was confused how a charge could occur in the future, but the representative tried to clarify. I find it frustrating that no one has updated me on the situation, especially since it was my sister's birthday gift. I'm eagerly waiting for a resolution as promised by customer service. Please reach out to me soon. Contact me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] or [redacted]

This morning at 10:00 am on 4/17/22, I checked my Vanilla gift card balance and it showed $57.00. Around 11:00 am, I tried to use it at Safeway, but it was declined for insufficient funds. I called Vanilla Visa customer service and was informed of a $57.00 transaction to a company called Savewear, which I did not authorize. I requested to dispute the charge, but was told to wait 7 days. The customer service representative placed a note on my card indicating an issue. The card number is 4[redacted]-3[redacted]. I was provided with the phone number of the vendor, but it keeps giving me a busy signal. I'm seeking assistance in resolving this issue and getting my $57.00 refunded. - Brenda K.

I bought a Vanilla Gift Card for my grandson and had it emailed to him in late February or March. However, I used the wrong email address and was notified via email. I contacted Vanilla with the correct email address, but my grandson did not receive the card. I would like to get an update on the situation. If the card cannot be sent to him, I request a refund of the $25.00 I paid.

I initiated a fraud dispute on February 2, [redacted] (Case #[redacted]5). According to the email received, the resolution was supposed to be completed within 90 days. However, as of May 2, I had not received any updates from Vanilla Visa. After contacting the lost/stolen line and being told to expect a response within 24-48 hours, I received no further communication. Subsequent attempts to follow up on May 5 were frustrating as both phone lines repeatedly disconnected. The unauthorized charge of $[redacted].20 to my Vanilla Visa card ending in [redacted] was made by FanDuel and stardust casino. Despite my efforts to reach out to them, contacting FanDuel proved futile as they required me to be a customer. This card is solely used by a caregiver for purchasing groceries. Over the years, I have consistently purchased Vanilla Visa gift cards without any issues until now. The balance was unexpectedly unavailable online, prompting me to call the number on the back of the card, which ultimately led to the discovery of the fraudulent activity. Being 75 years old, I am the only individual who had access to the card. Transactions on similar gift cards indicate a history of purchasing only groceries and essential items. Unfortunately, Vanilla Visa has not provided any meaningful assistance in addressing the situation despite their promises. I kindly seek your help in resolving this matter. Thank you. - J.C. I was persuaded by a friend to invest $[redacted] with the promise of receiving $9,[redacted] in return. The deal involved buying two gift cards, one for $[redacted] and one for $[redacted]. After providing pictures of the cards to my friend, I was informed of an additional Payment Verification Code (PVC) fee needing to be paid to release the promised funds. Despite not being informed of this fee initially, I managed to add $[redacted] to my cash app to cover it. However, I was then asked for a $[redacted] Tax Fee to upgrade my investment. Feeling misled by my friend's advice, I am now seeking a way to reverse the gift card transactions and recover my initial $[redacted] investment.

I have been trying to get assistance since the 11th when I bought a Vanilla gift card for my daughter's back-to-school shopping. I loaded the card with $[redacted] for her supplies and clothes. However, when I tried to make a purchase, the card got declined three times. Upon checking, I found out there was only $3 left on the card. It seems like the card was scammed, and I am feeling incredibly let down as I put in a lot of effort to save that money for my daughter's special day. Can someone please help me recover the lost funds or provide a solution to this issue?

I purchased a vanilla gift card with $[redacted]. I made an online purchase for $80 and another for $15, totaling $95 with tax. When I checked the balance yesterday, it was accurate. However, when I tried to check the balance again today, it said my card is invalid. I called the number on the back, but the explanation given was vague. The robot on the phone mentioned there was an issue with my card, but didn't provide more details.
