I received a Visa Vanilla gift card for my birthday on 2/4 around 2 pm. I tried to activate it later that evening and found that my balance was only around $0.84 instead of the loaded $[redacted]. There were unauthorized charges on the card which I did not make. I suspect that the card details were obtained fraudulently, possibly by an employee at the purchase location or through scanning cards unlawfully. After following the FAQ's advice to report it immediately, I contacted customer service. The representative suggested I see the purchases made and reach out to the vendors to cancel them. However, I was informed that nothing could be done until the pending transactions were completed. I have proof of my purchases and believe an investigation will show the charges were not made by me. I request the cancellation of the unauthorized charges and for my relatives to be reimbursed for the gift card purchase.

I recently spoke with a Vanilla customer service representative who informed me that HiHi Photography was in the process of charging my Vanilla card for $[redacted].52. I checked my balance on 02/02/[redacted] at 12:13 PM and realized this unauthorized transaction. Despite not registering my card online yet (having received it from a veteran bingo in Loganville, GA on 01/29/[redacted] at 3 PM), the agent mentioned they couldn't stop the transaction, permitting the fraud to proceed. Interestingly, Vanilla listed the transaction date as 02/03/[redacted], not matching the day I checked. Get Human even stayed on the line for 36 minutes on 02/02/[redacted] without any response from Vanilla, indicating negligence. Vanilla should have acted promptly to prevent the loss of my funds. - Lee Bohler

I made two purchases with my Vanilla Visa gift card. However, I encountered issues while trying to make an Uber Eats purchase. Subsequently, the card stopped working entirely. I also faced difficulties with a Walmart purchase and am unable to check the remaining balance online, which should be $90. I hope to resolve these issues swiftly to either get my card working again or retrieve my remaining funds. Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased your card on February 6, [redacted], and I am extremely disappointed with the experience so far. I attempted to use the gift card for a $[redacted] purchase on Amazon with no success. Additionally, I tried to use it at Wawa for gas and it was declined. When trying to check the balance, I received an invalid number message. I loaded $[redacted] onto this card, and now I'm left feeling unsure about what's happening. I bought the card at Walgreens and will need to address this issue further. $[redacted] is a significant amount for me, and I am troubled by the situation.

I received a $[redacted] Vanilla gift card about a year ago. In November, I noticed a charge of approximately $34.00 that I didn't make. I contacted the help desk immediately, and they advised me to open a dispute. After receiving a resolution last week with a gift card number [redacted] for the remaining $34.37, I checked the balance online to find only $0.06 left, even though I never used the card. Despite several attempts to resolve the issue with the help desk and a supervisor, I was unable to get a satisfactory solution. After being on the phone for over an hour, the supervisor's line went dead while I was briefly put on hold. I just want to find a way to use the remaining balance and move forward from this $34 issue.

On November 9th, [redacted], I initiated a purchase with a merchant for a game priced at $9.99 but decided to cancel the transaction before it was completed. Despite contacting Steam promptly to ensure the cancellation, the $9.99 was deducted from my account even though I did not receive the game as the transaction did not go through. Following up with Steam proved unhelpful, and I was advised to contact the Visa Card issuer (Vanilla) for further assistance as the money was being held by the bank. It has been several months, and I am yet to receive a reimbursement for the game. Numerous attempts to reach Vanilla's customer service have been unsuccessful, as the phone prompts do not lead to speaking with a representative. I possess an email from Steam instructing me to forward it to a Vanilla representative, indicating their inability to resolve the issue internally. However, beyond this email, I have been unable to find an alternative method to contact Vanilla. Any help to resolve this prolonged issue would be greatly appreciated.

My card was charged $48, but when I tried to use it, it was declined. When I called to check my balance, there was a $48 charge posted even though the transaction was declined. I have not been able to use the card yet and have been on hold for 45 minutes. This was supposed to be a birthday gift for me, and I needed the money for transportation.

I'm experiencing issues with the callback system. There's no response, and when they leave a callback number, there's no way for me to reach them. It's just an answering machine with extended hold times. I've attempted multiple numbers without success, unable to connect with a Customer Service Representative. I have a $[redacted].00 Vanilla Visa Card gifted by my Grandson that I cannot use. I'm questioning the Company's operation. Could you please provide me with a direct number to speak to a representative?

I received a $25 Vanilla gift card for Christmas, actually receiving it on 12/28/[redacted]. When I tried to use it at my local Walmart in Fairfield, Iowa on the afternoon of 3/3/[redacted], the card had not been used before and was still in its original packaging. The clerk attempted to process it multiple times, but it was declined each time. I suggested she call a supervisor, but none was available. The clerk directed me to contact the number on the back of the card, as she was unable to assist further. When I called the number, I was met with an automated system that didn't offer a relevant option. I am unsure of what steps to take next. Thank you for your assistance.

My $[redacted] gift card was stolen right after I activated it. I contacted customer service, and they claimed they had ordered me a replacement, but I have not received any updates. I did not receive any emails, order numbers, or any information in my account. I am desperate to find out what is happening as I cannot get a hold of anyone for assistance. The lack of communication is frustrating, especially since I need to pay my power bill. I feel completely left in the dark and have no idea what to do next.

Yesterday, I bought a vanilla gift card for $55. Today, when I tried to use it in-store, it was declined. I checked the balance online earlier and it showed $55. I have called customer service twice, but the automated system kept saying there's an issue with my card, so I was on hold for a long time both times. I really need that $55. Can you assist me, please?

I was gifted a $[redacted] Vanilla Visa card in February [redacted], which I planned to use during my summer vacation. However, upon checking the card in February [redacted], I discovered it had been nearly emptied due to unauthorized eBay transactions in January [redacted]. I did not make these purchases and suspect fraudulent activities. It is disheartening that the card, activated in February [redacted] and last used in August [redacted], was compromised. Given the prevalence of such fraud, I am unsure if I can seek recourse or track the unauthorized users through eBay. I am baffled by how swiftly the card was drained after months of inactivity. Your insights on this matter would be appreciated.

Yesterday, I attempted to order a few items on Mercari. Unintentionally, I tried to place the order multiple times before it finally went through. Later on, I tried to purchase another item but encountered difficulties because I didn't have enough funds. When I attempted to buy something else within my budget, my card was declined. I couldn't access the funds on the website because my card number was blocked. I was expecting a return of $1.95 today, bringing my total to about $19. However, I suspect my card might have been suspended. Please assist me in resolving this problem.

I am experiencing issues with the company regarding a stolen gift card. I have been in contact with various customer service representatives since August [redacted], providing all necessary information, including the receipt displaying details for both a $20 card (used) and a $[redacted] card (not used). Despite my efforts, they have repeatedly mishandled the situation. Initially, they told me the case number opened was only for the $20 card. Upon opening a new case for the $[redacted] card, I was informed this new case number also pertained to the $20 card. The company has caused frustration and inconvenience, failing to address the $[redacted] gift card properly.

My card got frozen, and I need to reach out to customer service to resolve the problem. I've spent more than 6 hours waiting on hold, which I have recorded with my Pixel 7 smartphone. This situation feels like theft in several steps: 1. They take customers' money. 2. They unilaterally lock the card without informing the customers. 3. They block access to the funds without offering any process to unlock the card. 4. The funds are held by Vanilla/Metabank. The situation is frustrating, and it seems like online communities are starting to notice this issue.

I recently received a $25 gift card from my aunt that she purchased at Dollar General. After waiting 24 hours and setting up a new pin online, I noticed that my balance was only five cents with a $24.95 deduction on hold. I contacted customer service, but the agent was rude and insisted that I had already spent the money. Due to my PTSD, I prefer to avoid such interactions. I have the receipt, the pin I set up, and the unused gift card. Could you please assist me in making the card functional again? Thank you.

I tried to make a purchase twice on Roamans.com on 03/23/[redacted] around 7:00 pm. I received an error message at checkout. After verifying my mailing address and vanilla gift card number, I resubmitted the order, but the error occurred again. I then used a bank debit card, and the order went through. I contacted Roaman’s the same evening regarding the two pending charges. An agent assured me that the pending charges would drop off by the next day (03/24/[redacted]). However, the charges are still pending, and the refund has not been processed. I am requesting a refund for the two pending charges of $57.62 each, totaling $[redacted].24.

My granddaughter is currently in Orlando and experienced issues using the card yesterday, resulting in its deactivation. After contacting the company, they reactivated the card with a balance of $[redacted]. Today, despite the reactivation, her card was declined again. Upon contacting the company, I discovered a transaction for $[redacted].14 with an additional pending transaction of $1.86, which my granddaughter did not make, as she has not left her location until this afternoon. She is currently five hours away on a trip, making it challenging for us to assist her in person. It appears that there may be a fraudulent charge on the card, causing distress as she is only 12 years old and far from us.

My granddaughter is currently on a school trip in Orlando and encountered issues with a gift card I gave her. Despite reactivating it, she faced declined transactions with pending amounts of 1.86 and [redacted].14, although she hadn't made any purchases yet. As she is only 12 years old and far from us, it is crucial to resolve this promptly so she has access to the funds. I urgently need assistance either loading the money onto the card or arranging an alternative like wiring funds to the hotel where she is staying. The distance between us is making this situation more challenging, and I hope for a quick resolution to ensure her trip goes smoothly.

Walmart gift cards have now been replaced with VanillaGift.com, and this is my 4th Vanilla gift card. Every time, I have to call in and wait for about 1 hour (including getting disconnected and having to call back about 3 times) to finally speak to someone who can activate my card. I checked before purchasing it that it had $[redacted] on their website. How can there be an issue with the card on the very first use? I bought it on eBay, so it's not from some shady website.
