Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester with a query regarding specific variable names in a dataset. The dataset consists of [redacted] variables and a sample size of [redacted],[redacted] customers. My goal is to identify customers who purchased workstations in the next 3 months. The data is current as of May 28, [redacted], encompassing both offline and online purchase history. I've attached an image showing some variables with unclear names, such as product G. I seek clarity on whether product G relates to workstation purchases in order to boost revenue in that business line. Additionally, I'm puzzled by the significant decrease in workstation booking amounts in the third quarter of [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
Best regards,
Gerasimos

I have been trying to activate my VMware account but I am stuck in a loop. I received the emails but when I click on the activation link, it just directs me to send another email to activate. This happens continuously, preventing me from accessing anything VMware online. I had to use incognito mode just to find VMware support. I have tried requesting new activation emails, but they either arrive without clickable links or not at all. I have attempted different browsers without success. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The virtual machine is operating on Windows Server [redacted] R2, which was previously infected. There are three disks connected to the VM: one for the operating system (C:), a second disk for the Database located in the datastore with a size of 3.79TB, and another disk for storing BD backup files (G:) in a different datastore with a size of 1.49TB.
I specifically omitted the G: Drive volume from Veeam backup. After running the backup job, I noticed that Veeam might have generated a snapshot of the G: volume despite being excluded, leading to the accumulation of substantial .vmdk snapshot files.
I am puzzled as to why the snapshot is consuming significant space when I have already excluded the G:\ Volume from the Veeam backup.

I have used VMware Workstation for many years, although not recently. I need to purchase a new computer and I want one machine to run Windows and Linux applications. I am interested in a high-powered Chromebook with a 7th generation Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The device I am considering is the Google Pixel, which also supports a pen accessory. I want to run Windows and Linux guests on VM, take snapshots for reverting, and have device pass-through access. The Chromebook I am looking at has the specifications I need, but I am unsure if VMware Workstation Pro can be installed on it. Can someone confirm if it's possible to run VMware Workstation Pro on an Intel i7 Seventh Generation Chromebook? I am also open to considering an 8th generation processor if recommended. I appreciate any assistance in determining if my requirements can be met on this Chromebook.

Hello team,
I am experiencing an issue with attaching a host in vSphere. Despite having the same version for my VMware and vSphere, encountering problems when trying to attach a license to the host. The specific issues I'm encountering are:
1. Unable to decode the licensed features on the host. Changing the current license may fail, or certain features might become unavailable.
2. Unable to calculate the license usage for the assets.
I would greatly appreciate a prompt response to assist with resolving this matter.
Thank you,
Simranpal S.

I'm encountering issues with my VMWARE FUSION version 12.1.2 where Windows does not start up properly even after trying various solutions. I decided to revert to an earlier snapshot. However, I encountered an error with VMWare Tools stating "The Windows Installer Service Could Not be Accessed." I suspect my full Local Disk might be causing these problems as deleting files on the shared drive did not free up space. I'm considering resizing or expanding the Virtual Machine disk space, but I'm aware that doing so requires deleting snapshots, potentially impacting my access to Windows. I can be reached at [redacted]

There was a high availability (HA) issue with host 1 in the VMware vCenter. Initially, there was an alert regarding a Correctable memory error rate exceeding for DIM_B2 on the DELL PowerEdge M640, which was resolved by applying a BIOS update. However, a new issue arose where host 1 could not detect the central storage. To address this, a storage CONTROLLER Update similar to the BIOS update needs to be applied to host 1 to resolve the HA alert between host 1 and host 2.
- Warning message in VMware about high availability (HA): The number of vSphere HA heartbeat datastores for this host is 0, which is below the required number of 2.

I am currently using VMware Horizon Client version 8.8.1 for work purposes. Every two minutes after logging into my VDI, I encounter an error stating "Network connection was lost, reconnection 2.00," followed by a countdown timer decreasing continuously. The VDI resumes when the timer reaches 1.55. Interestingly, if I remain idle or do not input any commands, the error does not occur; it only happens when I start navigating with the mouse cursor. I previously resolved this by enabling "App and browser control" in Windows Security on my host machine and restarting the VDI. Despite the feature being already enabled, the error persisted, especially when I used the mouse cursor. It's worth noting that I am using Windows 10 OS. I am seeking a permanent solution for this recurring issue.

I am seeking advice on an issue I am facing with my VMware vCenter ESXi 5.5 cluster. I am attempting to detach a virtual disk to connect it to a new VM, but I am encountering an error. The error message reads: "Disk Cap Control: Value xxx is out of range ([redacted],[redacted][redacted])". I am wondering if there is a client available for download that would facilitate attaching the virtual disk to a different VM. Additionally, after removing the virtual disk, I have been unable to reattach it to the original VM due to the aforementioned error. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
