UPMC Customer Service Issues

Dear Concerned Customer Service, I have been a loyal member of UPMC for Life (Rx plan) for many years. Recently, my urologist prescribed Cialis for my ED, a medication that has proven effective for me. However, upon visiting my pharmacy, I was dismayed to learn that it is not covered under my plan. As a Disabled Veteran with limited financial means, I am struggling to afford this crucial medication. While surgery is an option that is covered by my insurance, I am hesitant as I believe medication could be a simpler solution. It is perplexing to me that UPMC would approve surgery over medication. I kindly ask for an exception to be made to allow coverage for this medication, sparing me from the burden of exorbitant surgical costs. Every time I go to the Breast Health Center at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, PA, I get billed for various services like the mammogram, physician services, and report reading. I always provide and verify my insurance details. Despite this, I keep receiving bills. I have contacted them to confirm my information, which I also verify on their system before each visit. This has been happening for the second year now and when I inquire, they are unable to explain why. I have had enough of spending over half an hour on the phone for these bills. If this issue persists, I will consider switching to Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg. It seems that neither of the services actually gets billed for. I urge someone to address this matter promptly.
