In [redacted] and [redacted], I used TurboTax to file my taxes with two incomes: California STRS and Social Security. Last year, I was audited for [redacted] and found that I had understated my income by not including Social Security and earning too much from STRS. I have to pay $[redacted] and am making monthly payments. Currently, my [redacted] tax situation is pending with [redacted] as the reference point. I believe TurboTax may owe me $[redacted] for both years as I followed all the instructions.

I see both a deferred compensation plan and a retirement plan listed on my pay stub. The deferred compensation plan is reflected on my w-2 form, so I assume it's already factored into my tax return. Do I need to include it again? Additionally, I'm unsure about how to calculate the total amount of taxes I paid for the previous year ([redacted]). Would the year-to-date federal taxes withheld in [redacted] serve as an accurate indicator of what I paid?

I filed my taxes nearly two weeks ago, and I haven't received my refund yet. Last year, I received it by this time. A acquaintance mentioned they filed their taxes just last Tuesday and expect their refund by Wednesday. I am in urgent need of my refund as I am moving into a new apartment this week and require the funds for rent. Is there a possibility to expedite the deposit into my bank account today?

I encountered difficulty while attempting to file two amended returns using the software, as it failed to list any Income from the [redacted]-G forms I had provided. After reaching out to Turbo Tax over the phone, a representative assisted me for over an hour to correct the issue and ensure the correct amounts were printed on the forms. Despite the assistance, I did not wish to relive the experience and would prefer to avoid similar issues in the future. I paid $99 for the service and encountered multiple challenges. I am seeking advice on how to prevent such problems in the upcoming tax season. Thank you.

This year, while starting my taxes, I encountered an issue where I had to download Intuit. Unfortunately, after paying for it, the software didn't work. As a workaround, I used my daughter's laptop to file my taxes, incurring additional costs of $80 for federal and $35 for state. However, there was a glitch that incorrectly marked my marital status, preventing me from fixing it or printing the return. I have spent $[redacted] on federal taxes and now need to file my state return manually. I am seeking a refund of $[redacted] and resolution for the state filing issue.

In [redacted], my mother passed away, and last year I discovered she had mineral rights to an oil lease with unclaimed funds in Texas and with Denbury Resources. As the sole heir, I hired a lawyer for an adjudication of heirship and obtained the funds from both entities. Texas labeled it as "inheritance" without a [redacted], while Denbury sent a [redacted] Misc. I am unsure how to handle the [redacted] Misc from Denbury and if it should be considered inheritance. Does anyone know which version of TurboTax would be suitable for this situation? Thank you.

I recently discovered that the online version charges me separately for each tax return filed. I purchased the premier edition but haven't filed anything yet. Can I switch it to the download version so I can file all four returns with one purchase? I usually buy discs but wanted to try something new this year, and it's turning into a frustrating experience. I've spent three hours on the phone trying to get help without any luck.

Issue with TurboTax: I have a [redacted](k) Solo plan for my business, held by both my wife and me. My wife has a part-time job with another employer that also offers a [redacted](k) plan. She made contributions to her part-time employer's plan in [redacted] and qualifies for catch-up contributions as she is over 55. I also hired my wife in [redacted] and paid her $[redacted]. I am trying to: 1. Make an employer contribution for her. 2. Have her contribute $[redacted]. 3. Make catch-up contributions. TurboTax is not allowing me to do this and keeps assuming she only has one [redacted](k) with her part-time employer. It seems unable to acknowledge multiple employers and [redacted](k) accounts. How can I rectify this issue? Thank you, D.G. Smith.

While going through the checkout, it was clear that MAX was the preferred service, but there was an issue during the filing process. The requirement to enter a state and zip code is problematic for international customers like me who do not have that information. This flaw is preventing me from submitting my file and seeking a refund due to incompatibility with foreign address formats.

When filing my taxes with Turbotax, I provided my Utah State income tax for [redacted]. After reviewing my final accepted Federal return, I noticed that the deduction for state income tax was double the amount I entered, plus an additional $4. I believe Turbotax may have automatically included the deduction from my previous year's submission without notifying me. I am unsure how to verify this and would like to see a breakdown of the excessive state income tax deduction so I can correct my Federal return. This issue has raised concerns about the transparency of Turbotax's process. I hope to understand what other actions Turbotax may have taken without my awareness so that all changes are made clear during the review.

Payment Options: I intended to select the maximum benefits instead of TurboTax Live like I did last year, specifically for defense audit protection. However, it prompted me to pay for TurboTax Live because I called for assistance on a filling question related to filing separately for the first time while married. I mistakenly thought I would only receive customer service help, not realizing it included TurboTax Live help. My intention was to solely purchase the maximum benefits without the TurboTax Live assistance.

I am reaching out about my tax refund that was filed electronically through TurboTax. I am facing an issue with my bank account and routing number since my bank has transitioned to a new one. They closed my old account and have advised me that a new card and account will be sent to me via UPS. The bank mentioned that my funds would be returned to the IRS and it may take 3-5 business days to process. I am confused as to why my funds cannot just transfer to the new card once I receive and activate it. I have been unable to track my account and routing number to locate my funds as the bank is not providing me with any information. Is there a way to update my new card account for direct deposit of my funds? I am also curious how TurboTax managed to deduct their fee from my tax refund. I am quite frustrated and would like to speak with someone promptly.

I am concerned about my tax refund process. I opted for the prepaid card this time instead of a check. After filing on April 12th, I was notified that my state return is being processed, while my federal return is $0. However, friends who also used the prepaid card received their refunds before me, even though they filed later. I fear the IRS may have seized my refund due to bank debts. Since Green Dot Bank opened an account for me with this card, I am unsure if my refund was taken or denied. I have many questions and anxieties about this situation and would appreciate any information available.

I used TurboTax to file my son's taxes in February. His state tax refund arrived within 7 days, but his federal refund is still pending. The IRS accepted the return in February, but later sent a letter stating it was under review and would take 6 weeks. Today marks the end of that period, and when he called, he was informed it might take an additional 6 weeks after they send a memo to the department. We are puzzled by the delay, especially since there have been no issues with our filing, as evidenced by the state return being processed promptly.

Hello, I utilized Turbotax to file my NY State return subsequent to already filing my federal return through efile.com. Initially directed to efile.com by the IRS website as a free service, I was surprised to be charged for filing the state return. Upon discovering Turbotax offered free state return filing, I submitted the form on their site only to have a federal form also submitted without my request. I have received rejection emails for both returns due to the federal return already being filed for my SSN and an issue linked to the state return. Despite re-filing as instructed on Turbotax, I am concerned about potential rejections. How can I address this issue and avoid IRS penalties for what appears to be a turbotax error? Recently, my Federal return was accepted through efile.com. How can I successfully file the state return without penalties? Thank you, Noah Dinaso.

When I filed my taxes, I applied for the TurboTax debit card to receive my refund. After receiving the card on April 30, [redacted], I found that while the routing number was correct, the account number on the card was different. This prevented me from receiving my refund when I activated the card, and I was unable to activate it on the TurboTax website. I have already contacted the IRS, and Green Dot Bank is currently holding my money without sending it back. I need assistance to update the account number associated with my card so I can receive my refund accordingly.

There seems to be a glitch in the system when I'm prompted to use last year's AGI for this year's returns for Hurricane Irma relief in Florida. Inputting last year's AGI does not reflect on this year's return, affecting my EIC and reducing my refund. It's frustrating because despite being asked, the system fails to apply it correctly. Furthermore, I'm still waiting for a refund for the TurboTax Plus edition I was mistakenly charged for last year and didn't use. Dealing with this has become a drawn-out and aggravating process since I can't reach a representative to address and resolve these issues. It's the worst experience I've had with this, and I've spent too much time trying to sort it out.

I received my tax refund on Thursday, April 26. Upon trying to withdraw $[redacted] of the $[redacted] from my TurboTax card at Trustmark, I was informed of a withdrawal limit. After contacting customer service, I learned there was a $[redacted] limit per transaction. I visited another Trustmark location and successfully withdrew $[redacted], then went to Regions Bank and did the same. However, when I tried to withdraw $[redacted] later, I was denied due to insufficient funds. After another call to customer service, I discovered that $[redacted] had been held by TurboTax during the initial denial at Trustmark, leaving me with less than expected. I am frustrated by this unauthorized withdrawal and the inconvenience it caused. I request a prompt investigation and return of my funds by the end of the week. Thank you.

Hello, I submitted my refund request on 4/25/18, and it is still in the process. I accidentally sent it to a bank account belonging to someone I claimed as a dependent. This has never taken so long before, and I have been filing for about 4 years. I need assistance to rectify this mistake. Thank you. My contact number has changed; I will call you because they are requesting a code to a number I no longer use. Additionally, I am encountering issues while filing for an extension to receive my state return. I apologize for any inconvenience, especially on a Saturday.

I am extremely concerned about my tax filing situation. On April 9, [redacted], I e-filed my Federal and State taxes through TurboTax. As my State refund had not been received, I checked back on May 6 only to discover that TurboTax did not actually file my State taxes. Despite going through the entire e-filing process and paying my Federal taxes, TurboTax now insists that my State taxes were not filed. It is asking me to complete the filing process for the State returns, even though I have proof of making the Federal tax payment. I am troubled by the fact that TurboTax has placed me in this predicament, jeopardizing the timely filing of my State taxes. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
