Dear Trivago,
I have watched many of your commercials and decided to use your service to book a hotel for the first time. My oldest son, who has mild autism, has an important meeting and interview at the Mississippi State Veterinary School on Wed, March 25, [redacted]. Initially, we had scheduled it for March 11 but later found out that Mississippi State was closed for spring break on those dates.
We are traveling from NC, just my son and me. I booked through Trivago for the first time on March 10 and 11 at Comfort Suites in Starkville, Mississippi with Confirmation #[redacted]6 under Laura I., [redacted] Old Marshall Hwy, Asheville, NC [redacted], phone [redacted]. Unfortunately, I realized today that I had booked the wrong dates; the correct dates should have been March 24 and 25th.
I called Choice Privilege Hotels, and they rebooked us at Quality Inn for March 24 and 25 with Confirmation #[redacted]5. They are attempting to refund and cancel the March 10 and 11 dates and advised me to contact you. As I am not currently employed, I cannot afford to lose the refund for these nights when the university is closed. I have never used Trivago before and really need your help to get this issue resolved. We are in a panic as it was an honest mistake. I am worried about using Trivago again in the future. Please assist me in getting this refunded.

I would like to address a serious issue that occurred with a reservation I made through your website, Otel.com, for a stay at SIKANIA Resort&SPA in Italy. I, Pasquale De Gennaro, an Italian citizen, made a reservation from July 25, [redacted], to August 1, [redacted], for a total of EUR 1,[redacted].70 (reservation number: [redacted]). Unfortunately, I discovered that my reservation had been cancelled without my consent on May 12, [redacted].
Despite my numerous attempts to contact your customer service and call center for clarification and reimbursement, I have not received a satisfactory response. I have submitted multiple requests for information and reimbursement via your website, which have gone unanswered or dismissed without proper consideration.

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from Trivago and Otel.com. In February [redacted], I used Trivago to book a reservation at Sikania Resort in Sicily for July 25 to August 1, [redacted]. I paid EUR 1,[redacted].70 in advance by credit card to Otel.com, recommended by Trivago as the best-priced option.
Recently, I contacted Sikania Resort for information only to discover my reservation had been cancelled by Otel.com on May 12, [redacted] without my knowledge. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach Otel.com's customer service for an explanation or refund.
This experience has left me disappointed and I will avoid using Otel.com or any website endorsed by Trivago in the future. It is evident that Trivago lacks control over the websites and companies it recommends, leading to this unfortunate situation.

I have been a satisfied customer for a few years. I had a reservation for a trip to Gettysburg from 8/15 to 8/25, but it was canceled by the owner due to the Coronavirus. While browsing online last night on Trivago for a room with 2 queen beds, I came across a listing for Comfort Inns and Suites that seemed perfect. The price shown was $76.00 per night for the room, as listed as the lowest price. When I tried to book it through lol.travel, the total price ended up over $[redacted].00 instead of the $[redacted].00 plus tax originally quoted. Despite multiple attempts, I couldn't book the room at the advertised price. After contacting lol.travel at [redacted]32, they couldn't resolve the issue, stating it was up to the travel agency to fix it. I also reached out to Comfort Inns and Suites, but they couldn't honor the price. The rooms were initially unavailable, then later showed up again at the $76.00 rate. I'm unsure how to proceed with this situation.

I am writing to request a cancellation for my hotel booking at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Darwin. The lockdown in Sydney due to the recent Covid19 outbreak has affected my travel plans. The agency we booked with is a scam. We've contacted them several times, and they keep saying they will get back to us, but never do. When we reach out to them, they brush us off, laugh at us, don't resolve anything, and never contact us back. I want to be refunded by Stayforlong, never using them again. Please help us, our holiday plans are ruined, and our money is at stake.

Upon checking into our room, it was immediately apparent that the cleaning was subpar. The sink had toothpaste stains and hair, mirrors were smudged, dust coated the headboards and window sills, and there were cobwebs. After informing the front desk, they assured us it would be cleaned. Upon our return from dinner, nothing had changed. Despite repeated requests, the room remained untouched. When asking for towels and pillows, the service was incredibly slow. The sink was clogged, the hairdryer broken, and overall service was lacking. At check-out, asking for a discount due to these issues was met with refusal. The nightly rate of $[redacted] seemed excessive given the condition of the room. We feel the need for a resolution as soon as possible and have photographic evidence of the room's state. We are disappointed with our stay and seek a prompt response. Thank you, H. Roy.

I attempted to make a hotel reservation for Saturday, the 21st of August at the Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa. Unfortunately, after confirming the booking, the website displayed an error message. I then tried again, with the same outcome.
I made the reservation through the Trivago website, using a third-party site called Booking Bargains. I am concerned about the legitimacy of this site and whether my booking was successful. Upon checking my credit card statement, I noticed four pending charges. I have not received any confirmation of my booking and want reassurance that only one booking will be charged.
I do not have a booking confirmation to provide, but the reservation was made under the name Kelsey T. with the email address provided.
I called the hotel, but they have no record of my reservation. They mentioned that external bookings may take longer to process. I also emailed Booking Bargains with the same inquiry but thought I would seek your assistance.

I recently dealt with Traveluro for a booking, but had to cancel. They refunded my money, but when I tried to rebook later, they charged me, claiming the deal was unavailable. I was given receipt #[redacted] for a booking at the Excalibur Las Vegas, expecting a refund that I never received. So, I booked at the Luxor Hotel for the same dates, but again faced issues with no confirmation and a charge of $[redacted].00 (receipt #[redacted]). Checking their website, I found unsettling reviews mentioning failed confirmations and scams. I trusted them and am disappointed. I seek your help in resolving this matter and getting my money back.

I am frustrated with the service from your participating travel agent, Agoda.com. My daughter booked four rooms at Kempinski Mall Hotel in Dubai from October 5th to October 10th for five nights and paid by credit card. The booking reference [redacted]63 was confirmed by Agoda, but the hotel claims they have not received any booking. Despite contacting the hotel daily, including just an hour ago, they continue to deny our reservation. Agoda customer service has been unhelpful despite speaking to several managers. It has been over a week, and tomorrow is the last day for cancellation. The price for the hotel has now increased considerably. I emailed [redacted] and [redacted] on 11/2 but have not received a reply. I initially called to adjust my reservation to one night, starting on 11/12/[redacted]. The front desk at the Arthouse Hotel informed me that I needed to get in touch with them directly. After speaking with Steve from the management team, he mentioned that the representative I spoke with gave me incorrect information since I had prepaid through them. Steve approved the modification for one night but stated that Traveluro needs to refund me for the extra night. He is waiting for your liaison to contact him to proceed.
