I have been working with your team since May 6th to get my refund of $[redacted].43 from when Hotels for Everyone went out of business and canceled my reservation. I will not use your services again. This process has gone on for too long, costing me time and money. I provided all my banking information, swift codes, and bank account numbers for the refund, which you were unable to process. Initially, the refund was to be sent to my Paypal account, but now I'm being told it was unclaimed. Despite verifying my email multiple times, Paypal has no record of the refund. I am frustrated and disappointed in the lack of progress. Please consider sending a cashier's check with a required signature on delivery to resolve this issue promptly. It's been a frustrating experience, compounded by the inability to contact your team directly. Your assistance in fixing this is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I made a hotel reservation for my son in Romulus, MI for September 21, [redacted], checking out on September 22. He will be working on cruise ships and needs to be close to Detroit. I wanted to find a place near the airport with shuttle service for his first overseas trip. Unfortunately, I can't find the confirmation details now. He will be starting work at Park West Galleries and staying at Hampton Inn West Bloomfield from September 22 onwards at [redacted] Northwest Highway, Bloomfield Township, MI [redacted].

I discovered a hotel in Cuba on Trivago and made reservations for two rooms via Amoma. Although I had not used Amoma previously, I trusted Trivago's recommendation of them. Unfortunately, I recently received a notification that Amoma is discontinuing their services. After contacting the hotel, which had already confirmed my booking, I was informed that my rooms were no longer reserved. I paid in full upfront, totaling $[redacted].16, and now find myself at a loss. Despite receiving a reservation number during booking, my trust has been misplaced. Trivago should share responsibility for endorsing a questionable business and my consequent loss of nearly $[redacted].

I recently tried to book a hotel room through Trivago, and was redirected to Otel.com for the lower rate. However, after entering my payment details, I was informed the room was no longer available, prompting a fraud alert from my bank. Later, the same room was offered at a higher price. Following my bank's advice, I contacted Otel.com but was informed it was not their site. This whole experience was frustrating. I plan to contact my bank's fraud division and investigate further if the funds don't reappear. Have you encountered Otel.com through Trivago before? Is it common for booking sites to charge instantly upon booking? Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I made a hotel reservation through you for a stay from 9/17/19 to 9/20/19. Upon arrival on the early morning of the 18th, I encountered various issues at the hotel. Despite confirming my late arrival, my reservation initially couldn't be found. The fifth-floor hallway had a strong unpleasant odor and the toilet in my room didn't work. When I informed the manager, he promised to send someone to fix the toilet but nobody came. The advertised 24/7 hot appetizers were not available, and the options were limited. I couldn't wait for the toilet to be fixed as I needed to access my medications, so I had a rough night without a functioning toilet. In the morning, I couldn't have breakfast due to an early departure time. Upon checkout, the front desk refused to address my complaints and directed me to contact you for a refund of $[redacted].08 spent at the Hyatt hotel. Refund requested with Hyatt Hotel using confirmation numbers: HTVWP904079 and [redacted]/[redacted].

I made a hotel reservation through Trivago with Otel, and our reservation number is E3E1443. We were supposed to stay at Alona Vida Beach Resort but were switched to Alona Hidden Resort, which we did not want. Otel informed us to contact Trivago regarding this issue, stating it's a known problem with the site. My wife's family and I planned a Christmas gathering and spent a significant amount to be together. We do not wish to stay at the Hidden Resort as we aimed for a nice beach hotel, not a 2-star property. I booked a room at the Hilton for Sunday, October 6th but need to cancel it as my husband's conference location has changed to Woking, Surrey for the same night. I am disappointed with Trivago's lack of assistance and would prefer booking through Expedia. I appreciate any help you can provide in rebooking at the Hilton in Woking.

Yesterday, I booked a room with booking ID [redacted]61 for 3 adults and 2 kids through Agoda at Lemon Tree Premier Suite. Initially, the offer mentioned 1 adult and 1 kid stay free, possibly due to family suite considerations. However, after payment, I realized that the premium family suite only accommodated one guest. The hotel management now insists on charging extra for the additional member, which is confusing given my original search criteria. I believe this discrepancy needs to be addressed promptly. I plan to report this issue to the relevant authorities. My questions for Trivago are: 1) Why was my occupancy details altered without consent when I searched for 3 adults and 2 children? 2) If the premium room is booked under my ID, why is the hotel demanding extra payment? 3) On what grounds was breakfast denied? Such unethical behavior, especially late at night, must be reported for appropriate action against these offenders.

I need assistance cancelling a booking I made on 4 November [redacted] for an executive beachfront cabana at Amatara Resort in Ngapali Beach, Myanmar. The booking is for the period of 17/11/[redacted] - 24/11/[redacted]. I was supposed to be able to cancel for free until 10 November [redacted]. I entered my MasterCard details, which end in [redacted], along with the three-digit security code. However, MasterCard required a 6-digit verification code for the transaction of £[redacted].57, which I did not immediately receive, possibly due to my current location in India. My credit card company informed me that the transaction will not go through. Although I do not have a confirmation of the booking, the room I tried to book is no longer available on the site. I have attempted to contact the hotel directly, but none of their phone numbers are working. I would like to request the cancellation of this booking as of today, 5/11/[redacted].

I am inquiring about renting an apartment from someone who is currently in England. The landlord mentioned that Trivago will handle the key and document delivery process on their behalf. I need to send an upfront payment of 1,[redacted] EUR for the first month's rent and guarantee deposit before receiving the keys. Trivago will then send me an invoice and more details about the rental. I am unsure if this is a legitimate arrangement or a possible scam. Can Trivago confirm if they offer this service for apartment rentals?

I visited your website to book a hotel. After selecting a hotel, I was directed to Skoosh. I received an email confirming my reservation, but the Sheraton claims there is no booking under my name. When I tried calling Skoosh at 1-[redacted], the line was busy. I assumed the connection to Skoosh through your site was valid. Please reach out to me regarding this issue. - R. Marks

I made a hotel reservation at Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile for 2 nights at $[redacted].10 Canadian per night (taxes included) online. After completing the payment, I was surprised by a tourism levy charge of $78.36 that was not mentioned before. I wish I had been informed about this charge beforehand as it would have influenced my decision to book. The website did not display any information about this extra fee. This reservation is non-refundable, but I would like to request a waiver for the $78.36 levy.

However, upon clicking the "Complete Reservation" button, I did not receive a booking confirmation number or an email notification. I made a reservation on the Trivago website for Palm Canyon Resort for December 30, [redacted], to January 1, [redacted]. I filled out all the necessary information, including credit card details (please see the attached screenshot), but I have not received a booking confirmation number or an email confirmation. As the Terms and Conditions mention that the credit card charges will occur 48 hours before arrival, I am unsure if the card was charged. Could you please investigate this issue promptly? Thank you.

I wanted to address the current advertising campaign on TV that has been airing for the past month. The saturation of ads has become overwhelming for me and my friends. It is frustrating to see the same ads repeatedly and even within the same hour. Instead of engaging us, it is turning us away from considering your promoted products. As a result, I now find myself muting the TV whenever your ads come on. I believe that many customers may share my sentiment but have not expressed it. This email is a testament to how exasperated I have become. Despite this, I do appreciate the products your company offers. Hello. I made a reservation via Trivago for a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Kelowna, BC on December 25. Unfortunately, I did not receive a confirmation number for this booking. After contacting Holiday Inn and finding no record of my reservation, I ended up booking a room at the Kanata Inn for the same night. Good morning, I made a booking for Travelodge in Barcelona from 13.06.20 to 20.06.20 through Trivago last week. Our reservation number is [redacted]9. We selected this hotel because we understood we would not have to pay until arrival. The hotel's listing indicated 'pay at booking: £0; pay at hotel £[redacted].11,' so we proceeded with the booking. Unfortunately, my partner noticed they charged the full amount to his credit card, which has left us dissatisfied. I contacted Hotusa Hotels, the provider, to inquire if this was a test charge, and their response was dismissive, stating the confirmation allows for the hotel to charge the full amount. However, the confirmation only mentions a full charge in case of cancellation, which is not our situation. It's misleading to advertise 'pay at hotel' but charge immediately.
